To be fair, if you don't know how animations can be done right in porn games just go play ToN for a few mins, those damn animations are so good and smooth im not sure why that dev isn't working for a triple a game studio.

That's not to knock the deluca family, on the contrary, i like this game more then ToN and this game is in my top 5 list but the animations in ToN are on an entirely different level then anything else on this site.

That's why i find animations a waste of time since they take up a big portion of the development time for little reward. I mean more than 60hrs of rendering could have been used elsewhere for a quicker update.

I feel like you should just respect the developers artistic choice in this. If they feel like remastering their game they should. If they feel like it's worth spending that amount of time for a render they should. And hell even your reply is hella speculative because you don't know if those 60 hours spend rendering excluded him from doing anything else. He might even spend it on coding or story development... I feel like one doesn't cancel out the other necessarily and no one has to take into account your needs/wants for an update time frame.

Personally I like animations when done right. and Canto forte is right with this post;

I am definitely not against the way scenes are done by Talothral, however I am sure if he had the hardware and know how
in rendering stills and animations he would probably choose to do so as well. It seems to me that he pushes the limits to a nice balance of what is possible for him. Overall quality of renders don't compare to Hopes's renders though and I feel like comparing them isn't fair to either of them. Besides, Hopes uses that framing in some fight scenes the rollerblade chick comes to mind, and the recent preview of the nun shooting...

Yeah, his animations are bomb, even better to see them/him improve during the updates in ToN. There are a few other games that come to mind tho, like it or not I feel like animations in these VN's/games are here to stay just raising the bar for others and to follow suit eventually..

To be honest, in my opinion ToN is much more overrated that it deserve it. Ok, tihs is heavy subjective because i hate the guts of RPG games.

Not many devs know how to string 20-50 frames of importance in succession to make a scene without recording it.

I haven't played it yet, but probably given it's predecessor, it's likely just a game that you can jerk off to. I doubt the "story" is all that great.
