It would be a horrible idea for him to enter the tournament unless he intends on performing poorly. The MC has thrived by being underestimated. If he were to somehow win, he would no longer be underestimated and would have an even bigger target on him than he does now.

What you're saying would only be correct under the assumption that MC either participates in the Frenetico tournament now, or that stays weak forever and always intends on using his cunning only due to his lack of power or skills.

But that will not be the case. Hopes (the Dev) has already said that MC right now is a wimp and weak, but through training he will get stronger and much more skilled.
And while at the moment, MC has no desire to move up in the ranks higher than Soldato, no doubt he will continue to rise higher and higher (otherwise, the story can't move forward if he remains in Soldato position forever).
When that happens, he will be seen as a threat no matter how much he tries to portray himself as someone who thrives on being underestimated. Soldiers from other Families out there will see him as a threat regardless of how he behaves (due to his rank, and feats through Contracts and the main story).

MC will always have a target on his back, and the only way for him to survive in the future is to get stronger (and as Wilfred said, grow into someone who is "feared and respected throughout the underworld"). He can't always rely on his cunning and luck to save him.

Besides, as I briefly mentioned in the beginning, it's not like Frenetico Tournament is gonna be held right away.
If it is held like perhaps 5 updates later (or even more, this depends on when Hopes wishes to set the tournament in) when MC is in Elite Soldato rank or higher, I can actually see it working.

And seriously, do people really want him to just sit on the sideline and watching as a passive spectator when this tournament is held?
LOL I sure don't. I want him to be involved with it all as a participant.

I can imagine the following:

The MC is in the midst of a match, which becomes chaotic, and must use his wits and skills (he's gained from his experience with the DeLucas) to win or survive.
His competitors may be participants from other Families, as well as characters like Luna, Gracie (with her getting more rebellious who knows? She might just join) & Dominico and others.
Crowd goes wild which puts roars of crowd in modern day football stadiums to shame.

And when the tournament ends, our MC gets some sort of prizes in form of rare weapons, armor and others etc.


Don't know about rest of you, but that's the sort of experience I want from the Frenetico Tournament (which unless Hopes states otherwise, I'm guessing will probably happen just once throughout the whole game).

There are lots of different levels and kinds of tournaments. The big-ups don't care much about the youngsters who win or participate in the lower end. So even if MC ends up winning a beginner tournament he won't really become known in the grand scheme of things.

I redid the contracts again to test it out, and it resulted in the following:

Not sure why I'm not getting green for Nimble Fingers.
Fought the guard by the museum, fought the guy harassing the girl, interacted with the dog, stealthily stole jewellery at the right or left house option, and went to the market place.

Don't know what I'm missing to be honest.

If you have done all including buying the book one market and stoling jewellery in both houses left and right the only one you miss to make that green is to encounter the old man who tell you some info about MC dad you can encounter him in same place where the dog is and you must have state mc presence at 5 and automaticlly the scene trigger to encounter him

In "What is truly weak is actually truly strong" event i.e. Ombra mission; when all the soldiers for the mission are gathered in a room, characters like Angelo, Caterina, and Onorina refer to MC as an "Associate."

Is it a typical habit of Capos and Wilfred's Division (Whom are ex-Capos basically) to call Soldatos as Associates (since they don't see much of a difference between the 2 ranks)?
Or is it because MC hasn't been Soldato for that long at all?

I'm asking, since we see MC wearing the Soldato uniform, I would have thought they would refer to him as a Soldato in the event's opening scenes (though I guess Caterina does refer to MC as such later in her talk with Gildart, Onorina and Amata).


p.s. Actually pretty glad there will be multiple tournaments! More competition and interacting with the Family and other Families soldiers!

I think now would be too early. He just beat a quasi-capo but people will write it off to luck. Yes, he'll eventually need to be strong, powerful and feared...but he has to WANT to a) stay with the family and b) grow into that role.

Most certainly, doing the tournament down the road would be appropriate...but I would think lining him up to be a Serpent along with the tournament would be the good path. He lacks training and desire for the role at this point.

When the dev says 30% complete...I can see how...

lmao! Yeah, Soldato = non-league Frenetico.
Elite Soldato = Div 2 & Div 1 Frenetico
Capo = Div 1 & Championship Frenetico.
Elite Capo(?) = Championship & Premier League Frenetico.
Serpent = Premier League & Champion's League Frenetico.

What he missed was stealing the jacket from the guy harassing the girl.
He beat him up, but missed stealing the jacket.
The old man and the woman are not necessary, for Green.

Just some more questions that popped in my mind:

1) Angelo mentions to MC that the Ombra mission in "What is truly weak is actually truly strong" is a mission which exceeds the S-rank.
In terms of gameplay currently, there are only 4 columns in Wilfred's Contracts which are D, C, B, A rank Contracts.

So what will happen when our MC keeps moving up in ranks and eventually we as players finish all the D, C, B, and A rank Contracts?
At that point, will there be more columns to include the S rank contracts and S+ rank contracts through Wilfred, or will these S and S+ rank contracts play out like the Ombra mission did (with much more renders, longer gameplay, and etc)?


2) Will we be getting any contracts with the retired Capo Vincent as well as some contracts in Gina's Tavern?
The game implies that MC did some contracts from Vincent in Isabel's "Blizzard Princess" event as well as undertaking some contracts in Gina's tavern as referenced in "Town time."

So I was kinda hoping we got Contracts regarding them (with the D-Contracts like where we connected dots between how Leliana knows MC from Bonanzo contracts and that's referenced in Isabel's event), and still hoping we get some contracts regarding them down the line.


3) Any chance we continue working with Leliana (and Alexa), as well as the "Twin nuns from hell" Amita and Amata for future contracts from Wilfred?'

4) Not a question, but just wanted to hear your thoughts/opinion on it.
Regarding Contracts themselves, I like them a lot, but it would be nice if we could get more rendered scenes in the future for some iconic scenes in them.
From D-contracts there are some scenes I actually do wish were rendered (I did make a post previously about it) and I think would have further helped in the immersion in the contracts' story.

For example, in "Snooping Bonans" MC gets a chance to kiss Leliana. Scene like that (and some others in other contracts) would have been wonderful had we got to see the scene in a render.


5) I think I remember you saying before that Cynthia is the only one in the 4 Serpents who takes in students. Given that Amata refers to Cynthia as "Big sis Cynthia", and Amita also mentions to Elita that "Amata looks up to Cynthia a bit too much" is it too far-fetched to think Amata might be one of Cynthia's students?
Or is it case of a simple admiration like how both Luna and Gracie sees Cynthia?


6) With the Equipment interface, could you possibly consider implementing 2 new buttons which sorts/categorize the equipment out by their rarity ("sort by rarity" arranges all rare items on top with lesser rare as we scroll down), and also their type ("sort by type" arranges all items like trousers together and etc etc)?

Perhaps it's just me, but I think it might be quite handy especially when managing our equipment in times where we get more things in our equipment and there's a lot of them (and wish to find a specific item more quickly).

7) So Wilfred's Division consists of Ex-Capos. You've mentioned previously that there really isn't any rank difference between Capos and Wilfred's division, just 2 different departments specializing in different things.
With that comes my question; is it common for Capos to generally accept offers of being in Wilfred's Division if they're given the option?

With Amita, she cites her faith as her reason to opt in the Capo rank, but her (and Amata's) case does seem to be an exception.
For other Capos who don't rely on their faith for their decision making, I do wonder what their thoughts would be on moving on to Wilfred's Division.

Then sort by stat.
So you could see:

Yeah. Perhaps equal Legendary rarity, yet increases different stats from lock glasses (which increases intelliegence, knowledge, perception) I would be fine with (perhaps increase in threat, charisma and stealth for your bandana covering the face?)

How about sorting by alphabet? Not that it would be that much of use unless you got a tip "Use the Xrgnft" on the forums, then you'd find it between "Whulla" and "Yellow Jacket". But having alphabetical sort feels natural.
