That's only a way of enjoying games, any kind of games. Of course, you can see it like a movie. Again, for that, it´s better just a third person view. But it´s better if you have a MC that you can relate with. Not someone like you: someone that you like.
For example: right now, I´m playing Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition. I´m a man but I´m playing with female Shepard. I don´t identify myself with a woman or a hero that saves the galaxy. But I get fond of that female Shepard, the way she talks, looks and behave, and I enjoy the game more than if the MC were another character that I don´t like.
That´s the problem with this game: I don't get fond of a woman eager to corrupt herself and fuck with a monster. Every time I see "You lick the goblin cock", I think "I don´t lick a goblin's cock, is this slut that one that is doing that". In this case, yes, I would prefer to see it like a porn movie, but playing as that woman makes it more difficult. So I would prefer to see this game as a narration in which I´m not the MC.
