In the country where I used to live average salary is below 1k USD. Though I am pretty sure that Lobsterman is a native English speaker so there are not many options and non of them have salaries that low I think.

In my opinion, it is not very correct to count other people's money. The main thing for me is that the author should finish the game and I'm not interested in how much he will earn on this.

It's generally pointless / unproductive / toxic to gossip about other people's life.
You don't really know nor you really care how others live their life, you just talk to make yourself feels better (which is not a healthy way to achieve that btw)
As long as the dev is charging diligently, and the buyer is consent to spend, that's totally legit no matter how much they charge for. (Although not always a good thing)
But, there's a big problem on crowdfunding: There's not much rules to prevent scams. Many projects are dishonest in order to gain money they shouldn't hv. Which should be call out for.
Also, as much as we all want to see a game finished, it's not always the case, sometimes it's better to just move on.

Are you sure you're not confusing it with "Girl Spy"? On Discord, in his post on April 6, the developer said that the release of TGS will be delayed. He also wrote: "So v0.10 is moving sluggishly along, but it's not nearly done."hi!
So, if v0.10 is not finished yet, it’s normal that you cannot download it on Subsrciptstar or anywhere else. Be patient.

Looking at the big and relatively quick updates that we used to have before, its clear the dev has burned out and got bored of this project. I hope he realizes that too and gives somewhat of on ending soon and moves onto a different project instead of promising an update every few months that never comes. He can come back with the Good Son season 2 a few years later to finish up the story.
I think this is one of the main problems with the devs making these games. Too many doesn't want to admit when they aren't interested in their projects anymore and are too scared to start something new. They just keep making empty promises and reworks to string along their subscribers/Patrons. I hope Lobsterman9999 doesn't go down that path. He is one of my favorite devs around and I think anything new he makes will be just as good as this one.

Bug report: losing your virginity to Lexi does not register when speaking with Alexander Nazarov at the auction. As in, when asked whether the player character remained a virgin, the options are (1) "yes (truth)" and (2) "no (lie)", despite having been fucked up the winking starfish by Lexi.
Unrelated, but the newer content (I think, haven't played before v0.9.2) has some pretty glaring spelling errors. It becomes a bit grating, in the sequences after the auction specifically.
Also also, I just have to say how much I've enjoyed this game, despite the apparent grindiness and real porn - which is usually a massive turn off for me. Hats off to you, Lobsterman, this was an experience and a half, and I can't wait to see the final product. If I wasn't living off of savings while looking for the next big thing, I'd be sending money your way.

Games like this become exponentially more complex to code the farther along they go as decision branching points pile up and so many new macro decisions cause massive referral to and editing of previous decision flags. Where 30 minutes of gameplay early on may have just taken less than 10 hours to code, later on it takes hundreds of hours to code and debug. Game devs for these type of games don't quit because they get bored; they quit because what started as a fun hobby quickly spirals into well more than a full time jobs worth of time investment for way less pay than their current full time job. They either keep at it as a hobby and slow the release pace down quite a bit (as Lobsterman appears to have done) or they quit on the project entirely when it becomes overwhelming (as has happened with hundreds of projects here).
While 'branch explosion' is a legit killer of inexperienced devs, it is mitigated by branch pruning and conversion into stat points, - just like this dev has always done. The (4-pronged?) storyline can still be reasonably represented by a flowchart / UML Activity diagram with stat-check guard conditions and constraints. The joy (?) of translating/debugging the diagram changes into the so-called JavaScript 'programming language' (with an additional 'engine' layer on top, no less) is... a matter of taste, admittedly.
In the meantime, the dev has already released a new (cheeky) game which had quite a positive reception on TFGames. While the 'fun hobby spiral' / 'tired and need some time off' argument might have some merit, I also think he simply diversified and has less time to spend on this. The 'unfinished' GS is already a classic in the genre; let's not be greedy and enjoy his newest project instead

Since that update from the Dev is pretty much "there won't be any real work done before the summer (at least)" on top of months already spent on things other than the game, maybe it's best to acknowledge this is slowly becoming a "it's not dead, it's just resting" skit.Yep
