Not quite, she is a closeted bisexual, not lesbian. She likes men too, she dated the old headmaster and had sex with him, even though that was also against the rules and her morals. You are doing the same thing likely she is, it is not all or nothing. Not everyone is all the way straight or gay, if you still like guys, liking girls too, doesn't make you a lesbian.

So far, even the gayest character in the story, Debbie, is still only like 90% gay, since she still finds men attractive in some situations.

If we are already doing things with Debbie, there is really no excuse to leave Ruth out.
Ok, fair enough, I guess... It fully depends on what they have actually in mind for her. Coming from catholic culture, I can tell you that even strictly lesbian or gay people tend to seek out hetero relationships with very religious people in hopes of getting 'cured' when not (yet) at peace with who they are. But I'll grant you that bisexuality is definitely in the cards and even hinted at. Personally I'd much prefer the 'redemption arc' where the MC helps her and she in turn is so grateful, that she'll let him take part with boundaries. Much like they did it with Debbie. Mostly lip service when it comes to her, granted, but still with very clear distinctions to how you treat other girls. (Not being able to punish her directly, touching as 'trust exercise' and HJ/BJ in the framework of a proof of loyalty, which, as far as the game is concerned, doesn't turn her on. That she enjoys watching in turn is not unheard of amongs lesbians/lesbian couples.) For others this might be unimportant, but I like this game especially because it goes to great lengths, spinning the interactions in a way, that they ultimately turn out to let your subjects discover and live their desires. Hinting at Ruth having a thing for women and then turn around to make her "want dick" would feel wrong and reductive to me. That said: It's fine if you disagree and as it is just a game, no harm done. There is also always the branching option they have used before.

No worries, I just like discussing things like this (characters, motivations, plot, lore, etc.).

Harriet quest bugged? She doesn't show up at all. As far as I know I got all the events, the last one seeing her pick up her supplies from someones sister and the smoking scenes

EDIT: Figured it out, apparently I had to progress in Rachel's story line to a certain point.

While I do think that the inline spoiler is a very useful tool to avoid spoiling stuff for the casual reader while still being able to hold a discussion with other interested people, sometimes there seems to be a lack of context around the spoiler to indicate whether or not you belong to either of these groups and thus whether or not you can/should/want to read it ;)

but it is still soccer though :HideThePain:

ps besides there are too much footballs around (gaelic, australian, american, association, at lease two rugby footballs, etc) so its always good to specify.
Well, we could call it "world football" - for one, the ball is roughly planet shaped unlike in the other variations, the other reason would be that it is the most popular sport in most of the world. ;)

I think the Creampie tag should be added.

HM releases inside Sally, Claire, and Amy.
Okay, didn't realize that tag exists. Yes, it should be. And in maaaaany other games ;)

Would anybody actually recommend this game to a total newbie? Is it any good to get a person started in the VN world ;-)
For the general approach I refer to my answer in the Man of the House thread to your question. In your stead I would skip this for now: (a) it isn't finished - it's nice to start with something you can complete, (b) it is more kink driven, which may be your thing but carries a higher risk that it's not and you extend that to the whole hobby, (c) it is a bit more complex and complicated than said other game, so maybe first get a feel for it. (this also has a bit more story than over there and a slower pacing, but they're not too dissimilar).

Yes, I would

Dunno what you mean by being 'newbie in vn' but it's one of the best unfinished games you can find here.
I interpret it as he is not a veteran to VNs, potentially going into his first VN.

I wouldn't skip it just because it isn't finished, but that's just me.

anyone else encountered a bug where the game somehow removed Trixie stars's apartment (the dance instructor) so you can't get a BJ anymore?
I reckon it has something to do with Cassandra's quest about having an 'experienced teacher for BJ's) It mentioned during that, that Trixie was needed and then I noticed the option to visit Trixie's apartment was gone. She still shows up in the school halway talking about sex.
Did my save crap out? Is it a bug??

I just think if it is your first game in this genre, it is better to have a look how they generally play out, including an ending. Especially if you don't like it as much as you think you at least can have some closure. While starting with a game you like and then entering the months long update wait process may be a bad start to a new thing.

In the end though I would definitely not recommend it to him since it doesn't fit the preferences he mentioned in another thread (straight story, no sandbox, fast pacing).

Yes I hate sandbox, yes Im here to fap
Then go to Pornhub.. Bet you can find something there to fap to.

The rest of us want to have some fun, and maybe get a little horny so we can fap later.
Get stimulated for a few hours with a porn game, then fap.. Gives you a much better orgasm.

Most of the games on this site isn't exactly fap matterial, but it still help build the mood.

That is true, I can say for certain my first was not a work in progress. I just think this game is worth playing even if it isn't finished since it is among the better examples of the genre. That said, my recommendation did come without having seen these preferences you mentioned, I've seen him in two different threads for VNs and neither comment mentioned those preferences. Taking those into account, I would agree with your assessment on this one.

Yeah, saw him in multiple threads as well, that's why I asked for preferences over at Man of the House, and he replied.

couple of donkeys that keep moaning `it's only football coz two names are too hard for our binary brains so we gonna ban soccer for anyone except yankees`.
To be fair, the original binary donkey in this thread couldn't handle that some people called the game "football" and overburdening his brain with the idea that other people didn't call it soccer. So more or less the other way round.
