From my point of view, the decision that he make was very wise. It just no worth keep something that affect your life. He said in discord that the taxes not only affects his work but his relationships as well. Cuting that is the best for his mental sanity.

The only thing that I dont like is that he is not gonna have a income from this Project anymore, that's really sucks. Bawdy Traditions and Hidden ends are very good games that were make with passion, with some little problems yes like all games, but great games in the end. I always think, a good project needs a good contribution. But well, everything is not perfect and this is the real world with real problems haha... I hope this decision works for him.

Thank you Aedirn for everything and for keep this project alive. And I tell you that I'm gonna keep playing this great game to the end, thats for sure. I will look forward to the next updates

I dont get it Why he doesn't tell his patrons directly what's going on? Why wait for the update to be released to do so? Is it to have the subscription of his patrons for the next month? Can you imagine that in real life? A guy tells his boss "I'm not well but I cant tell you what's going on.. only in 1 week" its kinda the same sht.
But btw i hope everything is fine for him in his real life but i just dont understand his logic

Hmmm i think he shall decide that for himself, he may have his personal reasons for not telling right now, maybe even just that he is not in the mood to type it all down. He wrote that no one should donate anymore.

The comparison is kinda lacking, since we are far from being his boss. =P

But I heavily agree with hoping he's well.

Honestly think this should be a hobby and not an expectation. It's literally just a porn game (albeit a quality one) and the amount of entitlement I see from people over it is insane. Hope their situation improves.

You can say something like that "just a ...." about anything.) And how can you know what which people search and what they want from something if you're saying it's just a porn game, so? Games are very popular thing in our current lives and why it should be only hobby?) But I agree if you don't expect much you won't be disappointed so much ofc, but anyway.) If you're unable to support yourself financially. Just cost/benefit. No point burning yourself out just for some randoms on a forum to still complain.

I'm going to go straight to the point and I'm going to tell you what this version includes:

- 1 event: Romantic night at the hotel

- 1 major event: First visit to the spa.

- This event has several ramifications if willow's corruption is high the scene will be
in one way and if it is low in another.

"but Aedirn why are you telling us this? it's like always isn't it?".

Well... yes, but there are two details, in this event we unlock the medium corruption
for the future and second... the low corruption scene I like very much and I wanted
to underline it so you play both versions.

- several bugfixes and script errors fixed (I'm sure I'm missing some so please let me know)

- The event of the guys "smoking" in the room now has differences depending on whether Angus picks up the crystal or not.

- speaking of angus taking the crystal, if we decide to take it from willow's friend, we will now have a little "surprise" before going to the room with the boys, which will give us clues about the future.

- The non-erotic part of the story keeps moving forward! Where will all this scary shit lead us to? I guess we'll find out in due time....

- Retouched some images from previous events to improve the quality.

- Included some extra songs to improve the sound.

- created more than 20 npc's to create the open world (sorry but this is not available yet... it will be in the next version!)

and other things that I can't remember because I always forget to write them down on paper.

I'm at the spa and I don't know what to do, I went inside with willow and then went outside to the bathroom, and then I think I'm supposed to go back to check on willow but I can't enter the sauna anymore, and I can't go anywhere else, I tried loading an older save file and the same thing happens, tried also closing and opening the game again and nothing

He's planning to continue The Hidden End but not under Patreon nor other founding platform.

I've always found this dev a bit confusing. I figured it was partially a slight language barrier, and partially just that some people are not the best at communicating or planning.

They finally made the good decision to let each update take more time so they aren't rushed and the quality doesn't have to suffer. But then that somehow instantly turned into this. Here's what they said on discord.

"it will be a hobby, there will be no more dated versions, there will be no obligation of erotic scenes per version"

That was already basically what they said a couple months ago. Not sure why it had to be so extreme now. And the note about even less sexual content doesn't sound very promising lol. Here is part of their reasoning.

"the last few months I was working on my days off in a brewery just to pay the taxes that my government was imposing on me by patreon"

So the patreon page is closed because... taxes. Turning SOME income, however taxed, into zero income. And not using any alternative donation sites. I'm sure a few people would still be willing to support, even with the slower development. Idk it just sounds weird. Maybe they'll elaborate more, maybe not.

Oh I've been in there for like 2 years so I don't remember how I joined. Maybe the invite was posted in the Bawdy Traditions thread, maybe I got it through patreon when I was a subscriber.
