Those characters look amazing I hope dev gets someone to turn this eBook into a proper game (or learn to make renders himself). One picture is worth 1000 words :)

I see a lot of people complaining that there are not renders, despite the fact it says text-based, and a lot of people complaining that there are no text descriptions of the sex, despite the fact it isn't intended to actually be text-based.
I am surprised how resistant many people are to just seeing a project for what it is. I hope you, or someone else, will aid him so it can become fully realized. But honestly, I agree with you - I would prefer it stay like this than be poorly rendered.
Read the dev statements. He clearly states its Text based and meant to be text based only with no intention for adding renders or images. This is the same for his other games as well. So saying what the project is or isn't flies in the face of what the developer themselves is saying.

If the dev going to write a text based game, fine. But the writing needs to describe what's going on other than "mc fucks her harder, oh im cumming!" I know english isn't his first language, but this isn't exactly advanced writing stuff.

Given that the dev seemed to very much agree with the very comment you quoted, I do not think it "flies in the face" of anything. I suspect it would be far better had it said "it is not yet rendered" rather than calling it specifically "text based", but it IS text based because it is entirely text. It may not fit the tag usage's parameters for "text-based game" or your expectation there-of, but the phrase is still entirely applicable.
It is pretty easy to understand why he is getting frustrated by comments like this, because you are telling him it needs to include standard (generally vapid) "text-based game" descriptions of sex but, as I previously said, it isn't supposed to be a "text-based game". You clearly want it to be something it is not going to be. So, for everyone's sanity, it is probably best if you just ignore the game.

Jove76 is right and you are partly wrong!

It's of course labeled text based because there's no picture in the game so to call it anything other than text based would be wrong. I would love to have the money to hire and artist to create this into a visual novel or if someone just liked the story enough so they would be inspired to create illustrations to the game.

I have created a story. I have not made any attempt to create a litterateur masterpiece. I haven't put much effort into the descriptions because English isn't my first language and because I'm more focused on telling a story. I have no problem with the critic of the descriptions because it's labeled text-based and then you should expect better descriptions. This is a much more valid critic than those people who criticize the lack of pictures in a text-based game. However, don't expect that part of the game to improve.

When I started writing it was just to improve my English, learn some very basic programing and entertain myself by creating an erotic story. I created the pictures in my head and felt no need to spend time making detailed descriptions because this was something that I just did for my own amusement. After I had written the first season of the story 2nd chance, I thought the story was pretty good and decided to put it out on F95zone in hope that someone else would enjoy it as well.

Even though most people were negative because of the lack of pictures some people appreciated the story enough to encourage me to continue writing. So I did and I even made an effort to find an artist that could illustrate the story because that was something many people wanted. One of the things I did in my attempt afford this was to start a Patreon. I had a handful of subscribers who liked my original work. I wanted to create some content for them, so I started on a new story; The higher Society.

Since my subscribers liked the first story/game, I wrote the new story in the same style than the first. No attempt to create any pictures and not spending too much time on descriptions. The progress of the story is the focus...

Nobody will love it more than me if I at some point can afford to hire an artist or if the guy who is creating the illustrated version continues his excellent work. However, this is out of my control.

The reason why I'm not writing : "Not yet rendered" is because then people will go around saying that I have promised them a game with renders.

Those people that goes around claiming that I have promised this or promised that are lying. All I have done is writing a story and published it for free on F95zone. I have never said that I would create pictures and I have never said that it's advanced writing. Take it for what it is. If you want to support the project, then do so if not then that's okay as well.

After thinking a bit about what specifically impresses me about the writing here, I thought I would share my conclusion. If for no other reason than there seems to be a dearth of positive feedback thus far.

The single most important and difficult thing to accomplish in writing, in my experience, is to make one genuinely care about the characters. Even if it is "hate" (for an antagonist generally), one still feels some emotional connection to a character, which drives one's desire to explore a narrative far more than the actual plot. LotRs, for example, is not a masterpiece because readers simply must see if the forces of good triumph over the forces evil, but rather because they care about Frodo, Sam, and the others, as individuals. I have found this is even more difficult to accomplish in "porn games", for various reasons. Not the least of which being that half of the perspective audience couldn't care less about such things, and really just want porn in first person. It is rare for me to find a game that creates even one character I genuinely care about. In this story, that is true of every single character thus far. That, by itself, is a remarkable and impressive feat, made even more-so by the fact English is not even the writer's native tongue.

That is connected to the second aspect. The choices have genuine weight, to me. They are not the typical, simple, "Do you want to be nice or mean, noble or underhanded?" choices which is as complicated as almost every game here ever gets. As someone commented earlier, "the characters are so likeable that I wanted to be harsh with her, but I can't do it". This is true, but it also made me think about my own thought processes while making choices. With that character, I too thought "I don't want to punish her", and often I do not. BUT, here is where the fascinating thing occurs - I then think, "Yea, but she wants to succeed at this. If I am too soft with her, she will not learn enough discipline to be successful in THS, so if I am nothing but kind with her both her and her sister (and possibly myself) will suffer".
The same is true of the step-daughter. She wants to be treated as an adult, as do all younglings, but there are also times when giving her what she wants may harm her in the future. So the choices are not the generic "blue path or red path", options. One has to actually consider the real-world implications of these choices. That is a level of depth that is extremely rare here and, frankly, is the most appealing thing to me about any game".
It wasn't graphics that made great DMs, in the pen-and-paper days, and the legendary computer RPGs of the golden era, as great as they were. It was how compelling the world, and the characters which inhabit it are, and the depth to which one could see their actions impact that world in complex ways.

That is what this story accomplished, for me, and that is why I felt it deserved 5 stars.

So nice to get feedback on the writing, story and character development. This is how you motivate people like me to put in all the hours that it takes to create a game/story like this. It doesn't have to be as positive as Jove's review, but to get feedback on things that I can do something with is so much better than to hear people complain about the lack of picture in the text-based version!

letet me cum, is that one indented ?
Scene is the second evening after the Mc give oral "teaching".
So it is Angelina talking, on the begging/training path:
"Please... ! Please letet me cum"

HaHa! I honestly interpreted that as she was stuttering because she was on the verge of orgasm. It never even occurred to me it might be a typo.

Yes, which is why I wasn't sure, guess it could have sense given the context.

Great update, the game is getting interesting.

Some question, if not getting in the way of the story of course.
What is the wife job ? As it is she is getting both weight and importance given some of the mc words, guess it could be tied to him talking about the girl in the basement.

Next is a spoiler for sure but feel free to ignore it is quite alright :
When she talk about another solution, like a bigger house ?
As it is the MC can keep getting points with all the main girls, love how the starlet has a girlfriend who herself love having a sugar Daddy. Damn, how modern :D

Yea, I can certainly see how there are organic ways MC ends up with his own version of a polygamous colony. He will need a bigger house, for sure, because I do love a harem. I have no idea, of course, but my thought was MC will win the Oscar (or at least Sundance award) for his role in this movie, become more famous, and thus a lot more wealthy, and buy a bigger place. There is also the possible impact of his "connections" through THS giving him an upper hand, when it comes to awards and such. At the very least, they could buy him a Golden Globe, for sure.

Thanks! I don't really know the wife's job. Whatever it is she has a leadership position in her firm. The firm is expanding with a new branch in Philadelphia. The main purpose for me as a writer is just to get her out of the way from time to time so MC have time to build his relationships :)

MC of course treats his wife with respect. The wife may have some submissive tendencies in the bedroom, but in the rest of their relationship they're more equal (I'm sure MC has the final word if needed).

I'm not going to do the spoiler an tell the alternative she will come up with, but those who have played 2nd Chance may have guessed it. It's not a bigger house :)

Yes, the modern world gives many possibilities ;)

Just started this after checking out the illustrated version as I curious to see where the story goes, I'm really liking it so far.

I found an error on Sunday morning (Day 7) where Violet apologises for falling asleep before the MC got to bed despite the fact that she was very awake when she got some rough anal sex the night before.

I haven't played past that point yet so I'm unsure if it's just a dialog error or if I've been put on a different route as my MC has done nothing sexual with jenny in this play through.

Thanks! It seemed like I've guided you into the wrong scene. If you have sex with the wife on day 6 then you should have started day 7 with the scene where MC and Jenny talks in the kitchen and she calls him Master in front of Angelina. Just keep on playing and you will get to that scene.

Its always just the same game. 1st chance, 2nd chance or this, there is really no difference. Too bad the dev do not learn from his other games.

The pictures are definitely just some of the assets for genesis 8. As you can see on the upper left side of every images, something got removed.

I got the breakfast scene but something is still off, That night Jenny alludes to a reward she got the previous night, in my play through she got a spanking for spilling the wine but no reward.

In a later scene Angelina asks if MC thinks Jenny is a good kisser, the options are yes or no despite the fact that Jenny and the MC have never kissed, So it seems the routes are getting mixed up a bit

Yes, seems like I forgot that I've put in an option where MC left Jenny early and had sex with his wife. I think the easiest solution will just be for me to remove that option. I think it's important for the story that Angelina comes home and sees Jenny and her Dad in the basement...

That's a shame as I really dislike unavoidable sex scenes is AVN's, one of the main reasons I play AVN's is the choose your own adventure style choices. Besides Angelina already saw the MC and Jenny in the basement the night before.

Having said that, removing choices is always better than ignoring the choices the player has made which just leads to frustration, and I understand how much extra work is involved when including extra routes. I just hope other choices have more of an impact as I'd like to avoid any NTR if at all possible, including Sofia and Gregory Ross.

I made it to Pravo and some unavoidable sex scenes with Jenny are popping up so I'll likely start again and make use of Jenny whenever the opportunity arises so it all make more sense.

Yes, if Jenny comes to Provo with you then there's many unavoidable sex-scenes. If Jenny don't come to Provo with you then there will be some unavoidable sex scenes with Rebecca . You can't avoid all sex-scenes in this story, but I will not force the player into something very kinky or something I expect many players to have problems with.

I've been playing through day 5, 6 and 7 now and see that it's possible for MC to avoid kissing with Jenny so therefore the kissing conversation between Angelina/MC becomes wrong. It looks like I can keep the sex with wife on day 6 option, but MC can't avoid kissing scenes forever...
