I think Grey became overambitious with animations. They are amazing, but personally i'm playing erotic games for story. I'd watch porn or hentai if i were looking for visuals. Updates were consistent when game was based on pictures only. I'm biased cause i have same problem with Summertime Saga, but my favorite game Dreaming of Dana is based on pictures and imo more then 90% of eroticism comes from writing and in that aspect Grey is imo the best.

I wish i could justify supporting the project, but we just had 0.33 delayed into 0.32 and I'm just not sure if he's not burned out.

The timing is where most patreon creators fail timing between content GreyInu, P&P etc. They have such great games yet they make the least amount of money. Well my idiot creators people don't like giving money for nothing in return if one were to release an update every month the they would be incredibly successful just look at Lewdlab, I like Lily of the valley and the Humbling experience more but the Lewdlab is consistent whereas these guys have ridiculous timing, worse than a woman on her period.

That isn't really true though.

There is pretty much a certain limit you're gonna max out with a female protag game(and an RPGM one at that) and it is much less than the 20k a month that lewdlab and others make.

GDS is pretty much the only female protag developer making ze zuper big bucks.

He has two games completed, they're short but good. He had a proof of concept that got screwed because of his PC. He started at the-new-lagoon forums and seem to be a reliable and communicative creator. I haven't played chloe yet but his other games while there was an evolution on the writing from each other, it wasn't anything amazing and the only drawback to them, but maybe he got better at it. Will have to try chloe sometime to see.

I agree , and I wish more devs would just bite the bullet and change from monthly to "per update" for charges on Patreon. It would raise their credibility greatly and incur much less ill will...but then, less revenue...

So you've made a game with a female protagonist before and are now speaking from experience?

Blows my mind that the "Patron" doesn't get this choice, only the developer.

A game is a game doesn't matter if it's a female or male MC, as long as its good people will play it and this game is good however the time between updates is stupid long that's why these good games don't succeed.

I think a majority of the problem for about 95% of adult game devs out there is that they don't know how to write. Now by that I mean they seem to work update by update rather than write the story and then work the game around it. This is why so many burn out because what they have planned in the next update then contradicts what they did in the last update etc.

I'm not saying this is how Grey works, but it could indeed explain why he releases quarterly rather than monthly. I mean when his updates are released they have loads of content and the writing is really good and doesn't drift from the original idea. But that's not to say he couldn't burn out too. Hope its never the case as he has one of the most solid and enjoyable stories out there.

Is there a savefile available somewhere? I lost mine about halfway through this update due to computer problems, I think I was past the modelling photoshoot session part for the comic store. Would anyone happen to have a save around there? Thanks.

If I were a developer and I'd ran out of ideas, I'd first consider my patreons' ideas and if that didn't fit well into the story then I'd end the story with 2 or 3 different endings. (I don't mean to say that the THEx developer has ran out of ideas)

All good things must come to an end... That's what I wanted to say because there's no point in beating a dead horse over and over again

But a developer can create a fresh game, a sequel/prequel with Kelly's adventures.
Prequel idea-> Plot would revolve around Kelly's adventures during her school days.Yep the same school where Hinako studies now. I mean c'mon why does Kelly avoid her old school Principal?

Sequel-> The sequel will depend on what career choice she takes after her experiences in the current game. She can replace Martha or take over the comic store or become a fashion model who is striving to become an actress. She can also give guest lectures at her college about how she made THEx a success or she can become a cop or something.

I don't know why, but think the less popular ending and without the possibility of sequel is the ending with Sister Morello (exept a big plot twist) penedeyewink:

No, and there is no need yet. The game only has a few places(2, I think) where you can get stuck, just ask stuff here. I always check this thread from time to time and sirbajo too. Try using the search function if you don't want to be asking a lot of questions, since most of the ones you might have were probably answered already.

thanks. yeah i did get stuck in some of the places that are in the game. i think i will just start a new game and experiment a bit. thanks!
