really bored of this rework-remade thing really...finish the damn story before..uff
There never is the right time to do this. Do it inbetween, everyone says do it at the end. Do it at the end, everyone asks for a new game.
A lot of people mention/complain about the early chapters translation. Besides updating the visuals, the translation is redone for those. So new players won't have such a hard time getting into it. That's a good thing in my book.

If there is never the right time, how about... never doing it?..
I've said it before that I'm a bit worried because as far as I'm concerned, despite its flaws, the game was great enough to keep me, and many others, in. Now I also know that given how far the dev has come, a rework will probably end up improving the start quite a lot, but there's always a risk.
Also rework of games before they are complete has become so mainstream it's now seen as a joke or worse, a milking affair. I've followed this game long enough to know PixelsLab isn't doing that at all, but if you are talking about attracting new players, I think this might end up having the opposite effect.

I know what you mean, and sure it is a risk. But Pixelslab doesn't drag this rework, and with only the first two chapters being reworked (as far as I know), this state in-between will only last until the next update drops, after that, you have one game again, and no further rework. After the next update, no one will talk about it anymore.
But everyone finding the game will have a proper translation from the start - which I think is the most important point in this.

The graphics - I like the current quality, and personally, I like to have a finished product at the end that feels like a whole thing.
I'm here for the whole story, not a porn slide show or just the most recent monthly update.
If you had asked me about it before Pixelslab started improving his art (at all, not the rework), most likely I would have chosen him to keep his art at the level he started with - for this exact reason - no need to rework anything to match the later art.
I understand people improving their skills and wanting to do better though - and starting a second game at the side or similar only for that is even worse (for the players). So better to do it all at once and be done with it.

Didn't expect the lore when i downloaded the game. At first it seems a little heavy and confusing especially the "dream world" and Liv just appearing out of thin air and fucking up my mind, but it gradually opens up and really pulls me into the game.
Quite disappointed to see the "End of current version", so i'm wondering about when will the game be finished since it's been 5 years since 1st release and i believe the devs are still working hard on it.
Having said that, please don't rush the ending, i really enjoy the game so far and would hate to see it ruined with a poorly thought out ending.

Is the dev reworking the entire game? I might hold off on playing it if that is the case, I tried both chapter 1 from the old and the remake and the remake is so much better in every sense. I just don't want to play chapter 2 and onwards before it catches up to the remake quality. Also if anyone could tell me how many chapters are there currently released and at which point the current game feels like the remake quality? That way I can know how long it could take.

As far as I know, there will be one more remake update for chapter 2. Chapter 3 and onward won't be touched, so the next update should also merge the remade chapters 1+2 with the rest of the game. After that, the normal updates will continue.

As every time i check out a new game, i was just skipping through everything just to see some action scenes. If i like them at all. More often than not the animation tag seems kinda undeserved even though it is technically correct.

While skipping through, the game looked fascinating and by the point in the basement with this murderer guy i was both completely out of what is going on and also heavily invested. From therei restarted the game and played it properly, soaking in every scene and dialogue to actually enjoy the story.

Maybe it is because i am not a native English speaker, but i had no problem following the dialogues. I did notice that some thing sound a bit ... "pretentious" but i took it as a quirk of the author as well as part of the characters. Little princess is so adorable =)

Would love to hear how the work is getting along. The cliffhanger drives me nuts :(

Yikes this was hard to play, My brain hurts trying to follow the story. Not to mention the dialogue doesn't make sense half of the time because the dev's first language obviously isn't english. All round an extremely confusing mess..
