I'm not saying that it wouldn't work, but with the quality of the game, I feel that unless she puts in a lot of work both preparing scenes and finding a proper way to align the text so that neither pull away from each other, it would just end up looking rushed and therefore bad. Also, as I've said before, I don't know if she'll ever decide to add scenes at all, but if she does, I would like there to either be a good amount of effort to seamlessly piece it with the original text, or just make it a secondary option that has to be toggled.

Honestly, I can actually kinda get the name thing. I mean I don't get it... but I have shit other people don't get too. So I get that it might actually matter to brynhildr without me personally being able to understand why. I don't even get that when I come at it sideways.

I think it mainly boils down to it being 60+ hours.
Some of us love long games, me especially i've lost count of the hours I put into games like Witcher 3, Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy 14 (the only MMO that hasn't driven me insane) but some people like shorter games.

If you were referring to me with this (other than generally speaking), known that I've played countless games with more than 60+ hours. So it's not the hours that bothers me, again.
Like I said above, the simple cons of not naming the chars for me it's an important matter, that's all. I didn't talk about the gameplay, I didn't talk about the hours lenght, I didn't talk about the.. supposedly amazing story. I just talked about the fact that naming a char for me is important, that's all. And it's the main reason for not playing this game, simple as that.
Maybe two months or more from now, I'll probably download the game. Or maybe i'll do when it will be completed, but for now, it's a big "No." for me. Period.

If only naming our characters was in the game then you could name them Asagi, Oboro, Ingrid and other names joke aside.I don't really see naming characters such a big deal and for me it is better that there is not a thing like this and this are some of the reasons.
1.The game has a lot of main characters(F LOT) even the side characters are important so naming them all or some would make the code team spend more time on one thing the full team is what 3 to 5 people at most even less and why spend time on a little thing like naming when you can spend that time fixing bugs or improving the game.
2.Wiki problems-Wanting help
If we all had a different names on character finding something on wiki about him/her would be hard if we did not know the original name.Most porn games don't have wiki and this one only has because of the fans so bravo to them for doing something that i would never do and that is helping others or lets say there is no wiki for this game and you need to make a important choice about somebody (you will have them a lot) and you don't know the original name you have changed it to something else how will you try to get help by writing how the character looks because there are times when some side characters is looking as most npc but he has an important choice that can chance the story but then he looks the same as others so now you need to explain to others where you are, what chapter you are, how he/she looks and so much more. I don't know how much of this you will understand but for those who have played the game they will surely understand of what i am talking about.
3.Original
For me the names are original and are much better for the story,character development and other things.Lest say there is a name change and you like a character so you name it as your own name but as the story goes on you understand that this character is evil and does bad stuff much better to not point them out believe me.Would you then continue to play the game or leave it be (naming characters one time can't redo it)

I really don't care if you play the game or not but my thinking is try it and try it now don't wait to be finished.I think you will love the characters even their name and what they stand for or even playing the game get to that part that is finished and then wait idk for me that is something interesting not knowing what the future updates hold and how the story will go making me take my actions in the game even more serious.
IN the end your choice but i don't think you will lose something if you try the game but i (hope) it will turn around and you will enjoy it

Then if you don't care if I play the game or not, why did you wrote all of this poem? Some words will definitely not change my idea about this anytime soon - at least not now. So if I want to play this game when it will be finished, it's my concern obviously.
Also, you didn't understand a single thing about what I said. With "naming" I meant just my own character, I don't care about the others. Just my own personal character and honestly, giving that options just to see that "your" char gets killed not even seconds after just because "it's better to put you into another shoes and not the usual hero", was the dumbest idea I ever see in a game. Or you give the option from the start, or you don't and you call that char "Hero", without giving the option to name it. Period.
I was about to stay out of this but now I have to ask: what the hell are you talking about? You were NEVER given a chance to name anyone in this game... everyone's name is set by the developer from the start. And as far as I can remember (we're talking 0.8.0 version) it has always been like that.
And I'd call Kai a lot of things but "the usual hero" is not one of them... not even in a porn game.

I saw Sierra posted an update yesterday. Any chance of a release this week? Or is it about another project?
Damn.. I'm past the point where there is any sort of optimization walkthroughs (chapter 4). Its been a pain in the ass trying to parse through the wiki. I had to resort to dirty cheating a few times using save edit because I didnt do this or that. I gave myself 1 mil ProN to buy war monument after realizing I need that for succession crisis (didn't want to redo all that running around through the whole kingdom). At least I think it helps with that Donovan thing... although I don't know what I'm supposed to be aiming for during the succession. Now I'm reading about the warships funding pre succession crisis to get it militarized when you get back... etc. I don't even know anymore.
I'm positive that I would enjoy it a lot more if I just transitioned into a blind playthrough at this point, but the OCD power gamer in me is making it difficult lol

There won't be any "optimized" playtrough until game is complete... there might be attempts at such, but those are personal projects that almost inevitably fail once an update came out which forces extensive rethinking of the path taken (that happened to Raphael with changes to consequence of whoring Qum). Either that or the person making the guide loose interest in it... possibly both, which is why there are now two abandoned walkthrouhgs available at wiki.
