VN Ren'Py The Mason Gambit [Ch.10] [CorForce Productions]

I've come into chapter 4, I think, and mostly liking the story so far. It can be a bit ranty about people with past relationships (it's not spoonfeeding, but rather feeding it to you with buckets and a sledgehammer, basically), which can be annoying. Loving the story cameos from both Sunshine Love by MrDots (with mentions about Nicole owning a run-down hotel with a lighthouse attached, along with her almost-boyfriend with a father who runs the bigger hotel downtown, who's also trying to run her hotel out of business) and My New Family by Killer7 (with the three redheads Alice, Lucy and Sandra who runs the restaurant MC and Nicole goes to).

As far as choices in the story, the only choices I've encountered were about peeking on someone in the shower or the bedroom, and neither of these seem to have had any lasting consequenses (as a small heads-up to those who haven't played it yet), as expected from a kinetic novel.

Even though I don't particularly agree with your views I quite enjoy the wholesomeness in your game since like you I look for romance rather than fuckfests in my games. As such I will keep this o my radar and will eagerly await your next installment.
And here's to hoping that there will be pregnancy content in this game optional or otherwise.

I usually dislike sappy stuff like this, and generally find it fucking cringe when people do it. Past couple of days though, I think I may understand it to a certain extent. I don't know if the dev is active, or watches this thread in anyway. If they do, I just wanna drop a thank you note to a handful of developers.

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the dev is a military jockey with no actual clue as to how things are outside of hollywood, especially when it comes to ranks and behavior. like, say, an LT making fun of a Commodore while on duty, to his face no less, especially one that's a covert operations captain, or former captain in this case, in front of an audience. that doesn't just get you dishonorably discharged, it gets you court martialed for insubordination, locked up and blacklisted. and that's actually the best case scenario. 3 things you should remember, when dealing with the military: 1. hierarchy exists and it's there for a reason. it doesn't get bypassed, it doesn't get broken. 2. sexism exists. deal with it! you don't like it? get out of the military! also, women tend to give as good as they get when it comes to jokes... if not better! 3. they're called wraiths, not ghosts. and under no circumstance will a wraith get to return to official duty or civilian life. EVER! they also don't get recruited if they have any sort of family left behind for this very same reason.
the story itself isn't bad but seeing a woman that's 120lbs soaking wet antagonize an ape with 5 years in the field that looks like he bench-presses 220kg for fun is like watching a chihuahua trying to fight a shepherd. yea, good luck with that! he'll either laugh at you in your face, ignore your existence and consider you crazy or snap your neck like a twig because you said something that triggered him. military life makes you rough but it also makes you not take any bs. you don't forget your manners, sure, but there's a difference between being polite and respectful and being whatever the hell this MC is supposed to be. this is one story i'll never return to.

Coming down to the wire. I'm estimating 2 more weeks due to busy schedule and being unsure how long the rest of the renders will take. There are a lot. As the numbers above show, the chapter has exceeded goals set. This will be a larger overall chapter.

Even with those goals blown out of the water, I still have a little extra writing left (not much) and the code lines will reflect it. Then I add the music and sounds (more lines of code). And an animation or two (those take some doing).

I am happy with the story. Especially the little surprises/twists in it. I think you will be, too. Time will tell. Personally, I am excited.

I have affectionately titled this chapter "Allison: Family."

That's it for now, I will keep hammering away at those renders.

We are closing in. As I mentioned last week I am blowing the numbers out of the water for this chapter. Definitely one of the biggest updates so far.

As it stands at this point I have about 16 scenes to render still. That will take a lot of time as I only have the one rig. I'm hoping I can hammer out a lot in the coming week but it's likely another week out until rollout. I don't want to skimp on the content.
