It seems that the dev achieved what he was looking for, creating expectations with practically nothing.
So far there are 10 comments assuming (with some reason) that the "dark themes" are related to the ntr, others criticizing the MC for being a loser (also with some reason), but so far they are all theories, the only truth is that The dev seems like another "misunderstood writer" who swears that his project is going to focus on the story... so that 3 scenes later it will be a compendium of sex.
I may be wrong, but based on the general information it offers, I think it's best to avoid this until update 5 (if it arrives), and see if it's something more stable or just a "let's see what happens" type project.

Ok, wow, that was not what I was expecting.
My wild theory after the first drop: Alice was planted in MC's life to build him up with the purpose of breaking him down with this one scene to start him on some sort of transformation. Might be a huge stretch, but I feel like throwing that out there.
Now, the renders are good not great. The animations could be better, but not the worst I've seen lately. I really really like that we have a couple frames of just changing facial expressions to show a change in mood. But that "wait 3 seconds after clicking" bullshit has to go. Honestly. I did not do that. I saw one cut scene at the end that I almost missed, don't know if I missed anymore, but cut that shit out right now. No one is going to wait 3 seconds after every click.
End result is I am eating dinner late tonight because I didn't want to pause to go cook anything. Intriguing story so far, but just please don't let answers be drawn out for more than just a couple updates - if not next update, we gotta know what happened with Alice by the one after.

I think it is pretty clear MC at least "thinks" his girl cheated. There is a "flashback scene" where he is going into his house and he hears moans coming from inside, and just when he is about to see whats going on he wakes up.
The story kinda tells things might not be what they look like though.
Later a big black guy appears and he is looking for MC, and when he goes to MC's parent's home they blame him for what went wrong with MC and his trauma. So put one and two together and thats why I got the idea that his girl was BBCd in the past. But the black dude also says MC is living a lie or something like that so it is possible his ex didnt cheat, at least I hope so because her ghost isnt bad and she is clearly a LI so...

I mean, he did respond with "Betrayal" when the psych said "Alice" in the word association game, and he said it with anger, so it's likely that she did cheat on him, unless that scene is a red herring. So that's why I think that the scene did happen that way, but not with the motives that you first think of in that scenario.
Is she an LI? Honestly, I chose to not be vulnerable with her because I was still under the initial assumption that she was just a cheatin' ho.
As for Frank... he seems to persuade Thomas into giving him info - another indicator of something paranormal or something. I don't have a good read on him, but I don't think he NTR'd the MC.

Every time a developer says their game will touch on "dark" themes I kinda expect only two things:
-A Lessons in Love attempt, with "murky imagery", cryptic dialogue and "complex" and unnecessarily confusing plot.
-Love interests with rape plot in their past.
Hopefully there is something more original than that here. I'm curious as to what direction this will take.

interesting enough that i look forward to playing the next update. not sure what to make of the story though. obviously, Alice is either missing, or dead, or cheated on mc and left. but with his obviously high libido, perhaps she left him because he was fucking all the girls around him because he is a sex addict and she couldn't cope?

It's not yet fully explained, we just get a flashback scene of him coming home and hearing a woman moan while getting fucked, ofc. There's no 'visual confirmation' tho. About the tags, there's a planned tag section in the spoiler tag in the OP under Genre you can add them to, and those tags should reflect all the kinks and fetishes you want in your story and plan to add in the next updates. My advice is to be honest and transparent about anything so ppl know what they get themselves into and also get their money's worth, if they decide to support your project.
As crazy or far-fetched as it may sound, I honestly suspect the guy was either the dude who fucked his precious Alice he simps so much for, like you said, OR he could be his biological dad, and the MC's mixed race. It would explain why Linda didn't want to see him and his dad was so angry when he popped up wanting to tell the MC the truth about the supposed 'lie' he's been living in. Any of those two sounds like a possible scenario.
