Entitlement at it's best. Of course YOU, a regular consumer, know more than people in the industry.
What gives you the right to decided how much it is worth? If you think it's too expensive, just don't buy it.
And that's what people did - they didn't buy it. How can you miss that?

Dump logic at it's best. No, you don't "need to ask this". Do you have any data that shows how many people deleted it after 10 minutes? Because I think non did and without data, my argument is as right as yours. I hope you see how pointless these arguments are.
So you admit that your argument is pointless. Good stuff.

And even if they did, you are missing the point.
You can't order food in a restaurant and decided not to pay because you don't like it. You can't buy a book and demand your money back because you don't like it. You can't do this in so many other examples - why should it be different for video games?
Bad analogy. There's a reason why steam offers refunds nowadays. They think it's reasonable that the customer should have the option to return the item. Just like you would return food in a restaurant if it doesn't meet your criteria.

And this is proof of exactly what? They could earn more and why shouldn't they if people enjoy it?
You do know there are plenty of people who liked the game and didn't buy it.
Sure. But those people wouldn't have bought it anyway. They treat it like the free bread that goes with your order. The game did reasonably well in the playstore, that's why I brought it up.

It's not the matter of patreons and pirating
The problem is he should not promise a date or time of the release until he is 100% sure it's complete
He has promised 4 different times and failed to release it that frustrates everyone and him also as because of delays people starts to rush it he may take his time but should not promise anything which he can't fulfill on time
Else dude is hardworking and a great artist it's just false release times that gives a bad effect on his management
I 100% agree with everything you just said. So many release dates

This is coming from a former Patreon. This is a joke what’s going on with this update. How many fuckin days does it take to proof read? I mean anyone on Patreon & F95 could have proofread this by now, this is bullshit
In defense, proofreading is more time consuming than many would think (I do proofing for a couple games). This is especially true if the dev doesn't natively speak English. Localization is difficult, and frankly the first two chapters had numerous typos and syntax errors. These kind of problems stack up and take me out of the game because it just looks sloppy. When updates take months to come out and yet we get dialog like:

Love Interest: "Hey [insert MC name here] are you going to work today?"
MC: "I'm"

I roll my eyes.

You see it all the time because there is truth in it.

There is also truth in the statement that you can get a fanbase here.

This is by far the most entitled and stupidest shit I've read here on this site. It's the same as thinking you can pay artists with exposure. Or that interns don't need to be paid because they should be happy to get "work experience" so they can later get a job. It's the same dumb logic.

Even you should realize that the statement is simply wrong. The most valuable person in for devs will be family, friends, etc.. It's incredible how important you think you are. Second of all, for their business, paying customers are important. Not some pirates who enjoy your content and don't pay. You think by playing it, jerking off to it and writing in a forum you create hype which will make the dev rich. That's absurd. Listen to yourself.

Further more: most people who pirate games won't support it. How many games have you downloaded and enjoyed? How many do you support? And how many backwards "reasons" did you come up with after enjoying a game to justify not supporting it?

A good example is Word of Goo. 90% of people who played it pirated it and only a "very small percentage" of these bought it afterwards:
I've attached an EU study that shows piracy doesn't hurt game sales but rather help it.

So when people say that devs treating F95 as shit after their games take off is pathetics, they are not wrong.

Finally everyone has the right to complain, they help the new members assess the credibility of the dev; also the dev isn't being forced to act on the complains by non paying members , so there is no need to become an SJW for the dev.

And that's what people did - they didn't buy it. How can you miss that?
Are you being dump on purpose? If you don't want to buy it, don't. But pirating it, having a great time with it and not paying for it is an ass move and the entitlement I'm talking about.
Again 90% of the players pirated the game and only 10% paid for it back then.

So you admit that your argument is pointless. Good stuff.
The argument that I MADE UP to show how bad your argument is. Yeah, it's pointless on purpose to show how pointless yours is.

Bad analogy. There's a reason why steam offers refunds nowadays. They think it's reasonable that the customer should have the option to return the item. Just like you would return food in a restaurant if it doesn't meet your criteria.
Steam is the exception and people abusive the system to not pay for short games (under 2h).
Most other platforms don't do it.
When you return food, you still have to pay for it. You just don't have to consume it.

Sure. But those people wouldn't have bought it anyway. They treat it like the free bread that goes with your order. The game did reasonably well in the playstore, that's why I brought it up.
And this is the pinnacle of the entitled mentality I'm talking about. Games are not "free bread".
How would you feel if the company/employeer you are working at has to fire you and your colleagues because consumers see your product/service as "free bread" and don't want to pay for it?

I see this argument all the time, its dumb and stupid. Nearly every dev posts there game here (when they have no rep) to gain fans. Once a fan base occurs, then pateron starts and the money rolls in. All of the sudden, the dev shits on F95, yet its F95 that created the fan base for the game.

Also its basic business / economics. Once someone decides to join as a pateron that's a big step, and to lose them is quite hard. So for a dev its all about gaining new fans and hype, which is from F95 and this hype and marketing is for free.

Basically for a dev the most important person to him, is the non paying pirates', because they are potential paterons.
Well said rat

HI, everybody can check this post on his Patreon :

Hi everyone,
Have good news to share with you guys, the update is finally complete.
The game is currently under testing, including proofreading and dialogues editing.
As soon as I get the go-ahead from the scriptwriter will be releasing it on the same day.
Size of the update :
The game consists of 750-800+ renders and 4+ 1080p animations .
Scene gallery has been added, special thanks to 'Geekbone' for providing the code.
The game will be made available in the following sequence:

Day 1 - Diamond plus and Diamond Members
Day 2 - Platinum Members
Day 3 - Gold Members
Day 4 - Silver Members and other platforms.
Note: Firstly, My heartfelt apologies for the delay.
Yes, it's been 5 months, out of which 1 month's billing cycle was paused. So basically development period for the game is 4 months. Previous updates use to take 2 months for a release and it use to have around 350-400 renders. This update has 750-800 renders which is twice as much. So to sum up the game took twice much as time but you'll be getting twice the content.
I really don’t need to explain all this but I think I should so that you all don’t feel that your hard-earned money is going in vain. Thank you to all the supporters who stood by this time. The delay was caused due to technical problems which I have already discussed with you all. Lastly, I've decided to buy a newer rig with an RTX 3080 next month(because it's in my budget). Hopefully, I will be able to provide faster updates with much more content.

Thank you for the love and support.

Don't know how long it will take to appear here because I would be mighty pissed with the toxic whiners in this thread and would take my time to update just out of spite.
