OK so is anyone going to update this thing or what?If you read the post for the gallery mod, you will notice that it is only partially updated to v0.36... it's no wonder the more recent releases won't show up.

They have to be 4K or lossless then. Just removing the lossless flag and converting to .webp at 100% quality would knock that down to 4gb max. XNConvert is free, and manages bulk conversions flawlessly.
Maybe he's got an artist's eye that can spot the difference between lossy and lossless.

Yeah, i never understand why dev's feel they need to bloat it up.
I play all renpy games on my phone, and only use compressed versions. Ive never once gone, man, these images are super lossy, maybe I should dl the bloated 15gb version (that doesnt even have animations) so i could get the proper experience.

There ARE pros for the dev to not compressing. Spot rendering and corrections to images are simpler on uncompressed images, but that can be worked around by keeping the original images in a local repository and simply recompressing after any adjustments are made.
Otherwise, I imagine digital artists sometimes overestimate how much image degradation there is in high-quality-but-lossy formats, or simply don't understand it well enough to worry about it.
In this case, even his patrons might suffer unless he has an alternate patron download service from Mega, since most free users will hit their 5GB limit well before their download completes.
I have to admit this game is cool but have some deficiencies too. I'm playing v0.38 - there are 102.9k dialogue blocks but only 15.3k among them are unique, rest is repeated in many subpath. Dev dont using variables at all. I'm curious when renpy stop executing this kind of script for the sake of lack of resources or heap overflow bug cos every resource have some limits.

Most of the download is the pics, which remain the same once they are downloaded. There are ways to remove those existing pics for the update, allowing the player to copy them over from the previous update. In the end, it would still use up the same amount of HD space, but the download would be minimal.

I like the concept of this game. Criminals acting like Vikings basically. I like the idea of NTR the husband, and the mother and daughter thing hot even though I wish daughter was more cheerleader looking. Not everyone is into goth girls with piercings ppl. Wish the women would express more guilt and shame and little more resistance, especially in the beginning, would make it more realistic. But its good if you like humiliation and submission path. Worthy game, check it out.
Yes it is. But the problem still exist even if this kind of split is done. The reason is in B branch ( deception ) - in v.038 this one path alone has more than 30+ own subbranches. Some of them will leading to A or C branches or their subbranches I guess. Split is doable when subbranches are consolidated and limited to their main branches territory. But it is against dev's plot philosophy i'm sure. This kind of scripting (without variables) have some advantages for dev (cos replicated content is quite independent in multiplied subranches so possible modifications are easy to do in given subbranch), but hard for players who want to find all unique content in this game. I just trying to write the mod which is able to tell when the unique content is located ( in which subbranches ). I wish the dev the best but i expecting some problems in the near future if dev going to keep this amount of subbranches until the end of game. Personally i like multiple endings games but only if unique content is easy to find. Here is hard to find unique content cos 85+ percent of dialogues are replicated. Only tool can tell us quick which choices leading us to unigue content and how many unique dialogues are in given subbranch.

A while back, I started looking through the pics and then, via console, jump to the scene that uses it. A fairly fast way to get through all the new content.
Also, from what I can tell, while there are a lot of sub-branches, none appear to share renders. Each render seems to be unique to one of the three main paths.

C branch - resistance is well developed here but if you looking for pure resistance plot maybe you should try games like AWAM. But with less fuckable content for sure. I like dev's taste here so i dont care about realistic content in game. If it was real porn genre game so realistic content would be more important in such case. Realistic resistance path would lead here to even more humiliation and as a result more submissive path in the next updates or to fast and brutal early end of the game.
Long lasting paths are more worthy for players than short realistic bad endings I guess.
Great future is for games created by players imho - rendered in mixed mode. Interactions with characters picked in real-time by players but results (renders animations) collected after few seconds ( the time needed to read dialogues in scene ). So 30 fps or more for true real-time rendering is not needed. But its worth separate topic not here.
My tool analyzing labels and translate class nodes, so i dont care finding slight diferences in pics ( facial expressions etc ). I'm oriented for plot and text content behind it. If i finish my tool maybe i will write it as a mod to the games. I run it now as a part of variable viewer (developer.rpym). I'm not experienced python or renpy dev so i'm not sure if i finish it. I would like make it as universal/general renpy extension, not a mod for this one game only. But this game is one of my favs, so it inspired me to write this kind of tool. I also created other renpy extension for myself which allow me display some usefull info in the frame above the renpy main window. For me it is usefull cos i use my screen in portrait mode ( its easier to read scripts content in this mode at 4k screen ). For most viewers who watching screen in landscape mode this one extention is not very usefull with 16/9 screens if player want maximize game window.
@ Alleykatt - right . You have no new content in C branch if your last version was v0.39 You have to waite until v0.42 is released to get new content in this branch. Every 3 updates you have new content for all 3 main branches.
