Another game you to replay from the beginning, and it didn't even recognize the renpy saved folder.

I can't open the console with Shift-O. Pressing Shift-O just does not do anything for me. Are there any other ways of openning the console?
I'm having trouble with actually inputting the commands, but you can open it by following the steps here-



Download the file in the link, then pop it into the folder called game inside the Ren’py game folder. Then go to gamename/Renpy/Common/00console.rpy and open it in notepad. Then find where it says config.console = False

From there change, config.console = False to config.console = True

After that it should allow you to open the game with Shift + O

Thank you. It worked. In fact i dodn't need to download anything. I just changed tge value of config.console to True.

Go watch her in the bathroom. After fixing her bath - go back in and retrieve the 3 items from her room and take them to her. After she thanks you, just stay there without any dialog for about 20 seconds and she will move in the tub and allow you to proceed.

Works for SLU to get into the BJ path. How about increasing her training beyond SUB 5?

You need to do her pet training 3-4 times so she gets the "Well Trained Pet" status. From there you can have her use the training room. Once you can do that, visit her after her bath an ask for the pet day training. She will go to the training room. Visit the training room, cage her, and go into the dungeon. When you exit the dungeon it will be 18:00. Feed her at this time. Then wait until 20:00 and let her out. This should gain more points in SUB.

But all the above in unnecessary for now as I think that's where the content ends for this version.

Feedback: I really like where this game is going and hesitate to give feedback at such an early stage, as things will likely change. But want to put it out there in case it gets too late in the development process to fix.

Grind:

Morning routine: Same repetitive tasks each morning get old. There are only so many times you can draw the right bath and fetch the right items for princess before the game quickly loses your engagement and becomes a chore. You'll either need to vary this up a bunch with more challenging and engaging mini-games, provide some way to skip it or just drop it after a certain amount of progression. As-is, it's already too much of the same thing halfway through the content progression.

Maze: Quickly loses engagement as well with lack of variation or challenge. I'm unsure if some sort of random dungeon generator can be programmed into RenPy, or potentially varied with some additional challenging RPG elements, but the dungeons quickly become a chore also.

Recharging the Portal: This also becomes a chore pretty quickly. There should be some sort of end step where you don't have to keep recharging. Or some sort of fun variation.

Magic Chest: I wonder if there's an easy way to program transforming units in bulk when the user has enough gems and select inventory.

I'm just thinking of other games with good potential which became unsalvageable later in development as the repetitive grind was built into the game and too late to fix.

Did a brief google search in engagement in game design and came up with this, which makes some good points. Competency is probably the biggest of the three that needs to be focused on. And simply tweaking the amount of coins, gems and other items you get on a dungeon run or room search would not be a fix for it. (I'd actually rather all three be awarded more plentifully, to eliminate some of the grind). :


Or alternately, just focus on the more and more depraved sex and make other chores more easily skippable. That always works, too. I mean, it's a porn game, right?

In Version 0.4.1 (patreon release 16.06.) two points are already addressed:
  • Magic chest: Bulk transform of items, way more streamlined thank before imho
  • Chores: The morning wake-up chore now gives more nsfw cutscenes depending on MC level :), will be even more expanded in future
Still open (thinking about it)
  • Bath: Maybe some NSFWcutscenes depending on minigame success or level. Suggestion to vary the selection mit task is certainly good
    In 0.5 a new character is incoming, maybe MC can convince her to do the wake-up and bath tasks (and get some G on G action ;) )
  • Dungeon: Autogeneration would be nice but will be a b*tch to test for all possible f*ckups. Good idea though
  • More gold: 0.4.1 has an easy mode, that doubles gold and item payouts

I want to be clear that I think you're doing a great job so far at this early stage, btw. Just wanted to include some game design issues that may be more difficult to fix later on if not focused on earlier. The implementations you've listed should definitely help, too. :)

I also hesitate to post suggestions here, since I'm sure you're likely considering such things already, but here goes:

Another alternative might be to implement some sort of RPG point system for MC himself to make all his attempts more successful based on what skills the user focuses to build. This is totally off the top of my head, so take it with a grain of salt.

Connive = more easily convince NPCs to do what MC wants and awards more slut/submission/whatever points in NPC interactions based on MC's level. Magic and/or Intellect = Separate or combine into one: Yields better swaps or more money from the chest & more frequency of rare items. Allows greater protection of portal (recharging less often) and more useful info garnered from book. Can also be a factor in successfully convincing NPCs to do what MC wants, either as an alternative to or coupled with Connive. Toughness (or maybe magic here if separated from intellect) = Allows MC greater options for battling in Dungeon and allows occasional hits from monsters without running away as dungeon becomes more challenging. May also be a factor in story progression and certain choice options in key staged scenes.

Key to the above, regardless of how many skills are used and how each skill functions: Can implement this point system with daily time-management options to break up the monotony of the daily grind. Sick of doing bathing/fetching chores each morning, for instance? Assign another NPC to the task that day and work on something else (or to watch that hot girl-on-girl action if so you choose). Might be a good idea to have multiple interactive options in the storage room MC sleeps in too to build such stats, to avoid excess clicking. Various activities allow more or less time to pass in the day, which both award more or less points AND add strategy to time management, allowing for greater game engagement and immersion.
If these points are tied to progression too, perhaps add a thought or narrative incident once a threshold is reached hinting to the player that they may want to give NPC a bath again, check the portal, ect, depending on what portion of the story the skill building has helped unlock (as you've already done at certain key points). There can also be multiple pathways and strategies to unlocking that progression.

This is just one potential suggestion of many possibilities though in breaking up the monotony of daily tasks with multiple options of how to spend the player's time + provide the illusion of progression and personal agency for greater player engagement.

I think some sort of time management strategy would pair well with this sort of game though, regardless of how implemented, to allow users multiple choices on how to break up the daily repetition + provide more of a challenge and a feeling that their choices matter.

I understand but cannot achieve the 'well trained pet" I have achieved SUB 5 doing the pet training but it will not provide the achievement. I will try 'pet play' again but there may be a bug

The RPG elements I would have to think about. Focusing more on dungeon and monsters would pull away attention from the story (especially mine, as I sometimes enjoyed doing the slime and dungeon AI more than rendering the art & story tasks ;) )

  • The error dump: This error was not reproduceable, would occur only under conditions that cannot be achieved. Don't know, what went wrong there. Anyway, I added one paranoid exception check more to the code so it can't occur. Always good to make code more robust.
  • As to the achievement "well trained pet": Please not, that you need 3 times (not in a row but in total) to finish the game with 2 stars or more (regardless of your SUB value). Then you get that achievement.

I was wondering what the current version 4.0 max is for SLU and SUB. Also, I've seen pictures of the queen where she is not in the mirror. How do you get her in the castle without allowing her hordes to attack through the portal and end the game?
