Like this game a lot actually. Fun gameplay and nice H scenes. Story seems like a souls ripoff but I could care less. 8 hours in so far and I've only made it to the second boss like once lol. But it keeps me coming back!

This game is infuriating, nearly deleted it after getting spawncamped by ranged enemies twice at the second boss. It takes 30 minutes to get there, man
Is there any way to guarantee a heal weapon? If you don't have one you're basically screwed. Does haste effect the boss timer, and is there a way to get it reliably?
After the second boss you can get an upgrade that lets you see the weapon prediction when crafting, you can mix and match items until you get a heal option, but the second boss is a pain in the ass before then.

There are a lot of situations that basically require potions, which as somebody who doesn't love spamming potions is a bit obnoxious. I assume you're the same, but keeping confusion, teleportation, sleep, etc potions on hand and such will make those situations more bearable. You can also hide behind enemies and let them shoot each other. Using your curse skill is another way to survive the "Surrounded by enemies" situation. Make sure you buy the upgrades to reduce the cost of using it and don't waste any curse reduction items you find. Those probably aren't the answers you want, but that's just the way the game is balanced atm. There are ways to reliably survive those situations, they just aren't very satisfying imo, lol. Curse Sword feels a bit more like a cheat or something you'd want to avoid using ever rather than a "oh shit" button to me.

There are some better ways to get haste reliably early on thankfully (And guarantee ranged weapons for dealing with ranged enemies). Banisher from one of the Elf chicks in the second stage area has haste, defense up, and status resistance on it. If you can farm the stages before the 2nd boss a bit, getting that skill leveled up a bit isn't too difficult.

For a lower level version, when you use only one elemental bonus for a weapon, you can guarantee the type of weapon it becomes to a degree. You don't need to use 3 upgrades of that element, just at least one and don't use any other elemental boost materials (Anything that boosts magic more). Wind only with low level mats will create the Windrush Knife that has haste. Fire creates Scorching Sword, light creates Lightning Sword, etc. Basically tldr, Use a Wind Stone + 2 low level materials that don't give any magic and you have yourself a haste weapon. Scorching Sword and Lightning Sword really want all 3 materials to match their element, but Windrush Knife doesn't rely on wind damage for its skill, so it's pretty easy to craft well.

One of the best tips to make the game easier is to throw weapons at enemies/objects to break them quickly, then keep the skills in that form since they only have 1 weight. You can quickly give any weapon those skills in an emergency or save them up to level up the skills when you manage to craft the weapon again. If you don't start doing that and dropping useless weapons, the weight management in this game makes things too difficult. Once you start doing that and only keeping 2-4 weapons, you'll have more space for consumables and shit. Save the girl weapon skill shards in your storage and when you craft another, you can enhance it with the skill weapon fragments to quickly make it incredibly strong. Save those OP weapons for the bosses and only use rando weapons to clear mobs. In general, save those skill fragments for enhancing, not crafting the weapons (since you could get a shit weapon for the skill).

newest version runs at 20fps with constant drops while moving around/interacting with things, during animations it gets significantly more choppy and there is audio desync. some of the new animations don't work as well

could you please tell me how to cheat total weight
I've used MTool to do that, there's a key item named "The Healthy Soul", you can randomly get it when you pick up one of those golden orbs that occasionally spawn when you defeat enemies. It increases your weight limit by 1 for each one you have, so I opened MTool, saved my game in order to have a backup in case anything went wrong, and looked for it. At the time I hand something like 6 of them, but if I recall correctly (I've done it a few patches ago, it's been a long time) I couldn't find it on the Items tab, instead i found it on the Variables tab along with my maximum carriable weight. Whenever I changed the weight, the game reset it to the correct value, evidently it dynamically calculates it based on how many Healthy Souls you have collected, so I changed the number of Healthy Souls I had and immediately my weight limit skyrocketed over 300.

I think you can do it with cheat engine too, but brute forcing it will require time, because you'll have to set your initial value to the number of Healthy Souls you have (I think you must have at least 1 for this meathod to work), then every time you collect one you increase the searched value by one and update your results, until you find only a couple of values, among which you're sure to find the number of Healthy Souls you have. Problem is, you can only get this key item by collecting these golden orbs that randomly spawn, and you don't always get this item, you could get other Souls too, so it's gonna take a long time before you can figure out what value corresponds to the number of Healthy Souls you have via cheat engine. MTool is still the superior solution, for me at least.

I actually found that one surprisingly fair (except for the healers) even though I lost the most to it. It's just that the sheer length of the battle makes it more likely you'll encounter bullshit, Like a sword maiden being leveled to 8 while you're busy, then being healed by 300 every two turns and being unable to debuff her
But I did start savescumming because I am NOT playing an extra hour to get back to the fight, I don't care if it's the "intended way" especially when the game can be completely unfair sometimes

Mtool does not recognize the game engine for me, it recognizes chromium V8 and then gets stuck there, do I have to do something else?

I... don't actually know what your problem might be, maybe the author updated the engine and now MTool can't work with it, or maybe it's because the game is massive. I've done it a long time ago, and it worked (with some hiccups but it worked).

I see, that explains it then, I had read earlier in the thread that the dev changed something that made cheat engine not work anymore, the same thing must be what is preventing the MTool to work too, I had not seen any comments complaining about MTool not working so I assumed the change had to be a before MTool thing, it would appear I was wrong, it is a bit frustrating but I will manage, the game is actually solid enough to be an actual game instead of just porn, I will just have to switch into my real game mentality, which means farming for ages untill I can one shot everything usually, as one last advice I can tell that save edit online works to a degree, you can edit the number of souls you have but everything else is a bit more difficult, the variables are not named, but you may be able to get some other stuff if you experiment a bit, I am still not sure if I will do that, I will update if I find anything

edit, I have no idea what changed but now it works, I just tried one last time before deleting the tool and it works

Like darksouls, there are some annoying parts, but it is very rewarding when you figure out the best strategies to overcome the frustrating parts.

that is probably true as well, the problem is that most people approach this game with a different mentality than, say, dark souls or sekiro, in this case most people are here for the porn, as I said tho if i approach this with the same mentality as a proper RPG roguelike it can be really fun
