You didn't have to, there isn't that much difference really and you can still use the 0.39beta walkthrough to complete the new version for the game.
and it's section 0.26 step 450 is when Emma found out about the necklace from Janice

This problem just started today, I didn't have this camera problem before):
only thing I can think of is, redownload a fresh copy and see if the same thing happens. and if that doesn't work try restarting your system.
Any estimates how many times it may take? I tried around 5 times and she still gets angry when I see her peeing. I got around 400 affection points by now.

The only thing I can think off, is if you might have missed something, take a look at all the steps before step 51, which is when you should have been able to do it.

I ran a test on my "Completes 0.38" save (link in the signature), didn't do any watersport stuff, and it was successful
After watching Janice in the shower 4 time and got spanked once
I was able to peek on Janice on the toilet 3 times before you watersport scene
After which I was able to do the watersport scene at the end of 0.39
I think this is the reason why you've been having issues, this should have been done ages ago
The game isn't very forgiving if you don't do things in a certain order.
