From what I understand, I believe you only get this option if you start a new game.
I can confirm that what previous reported is confirmed
If you go back to Rebecca and ask her about the homework after completing her portion of the new update (After step 835) the game freezes
Luckily you can quit and load up your autosave

no until you learn how to use search function you gonna be a man and take the NTR content like a champ. Although it isnt NTR but i still enjoy reading about muh pixel waifu NTRs

I don't think so, it's just bad coding, loading everything in the memory. But who knows... Let's hope that at least optimization for the new game will be better with superior visuals.
