You have to give the players some time to get to know all chars and yeah if then like more as one it can hurt or feel bad if by choosing one you have to disappoint the others. Lot's of things you can do. Close other programs, disable AV, upgrade your RAM, new graphics card, computer, etc.
I have a six year old computer. Not a gaming rig. i7 processor, 8GB RAM, no GPU. I added 8 more GB RAM, and it made a world of difference in playing most games. This was the best upgrade I could do. Cost $40.00 US. Now I have 16 GB RAM and no more unstable games.
Hm, if by embarrass/disappoint you're referring to the fact that MC gets caught cheating, then I guess, but realistically, MC had been embarrassing/disappointing Haley from the beginning (because he was being a trash ass partner and cheating) and then adding in what's her name and promising he'd leave Haley for her (again, not a choice the player was able to make/not make) just made it worse. And don't even get me started on the audacity of what's her name to demand loyalty/fidelity from MC when she's literally the other woman... like, fuck her, and fuck Nikki. And not in the sexy way. Neither what's her name nor Nikki had any right to claim MC, so I'm not sure how they could be embarrassed/disappointed when they're both the dating equivalent of homewreckers... and then had the nerve to smile in Haley's face...
Yep, those actions do help. Best thing you can do at this stage (if you don't buy a new PC) is to get a graphics card with at least 2GB Video Ram. Note this is the cheapest option to improve game play. I had a system similar to yours. When I bought my current system several years ago (then at $1400) I was able to play the latest and greatest intensive games. And I can still play the latest coming out today. I am still so happy.
Not sure which path you played. You really might want to try the Harem path or the Karen / Nikki path and see what happens.

When the Nikki ending was finished, I actually did go back and play 4 of the paths (Not Haley. I thought she really wasn't my cup of tea.) and found that while similar were each of the paths are a little different.
Yes you can say he cheated with Nikki. But Nikki is very charismatic. And Haley is not. Plus, it seems Haley may be a gold digger (That is a statement made by several posters.). This may subconsciously be why I did not like her that much. Not the posters statements)
You can also go ahead and delete the game and never look back. But if you read this post, then you may find yourself downloading it again in a few weeks or so.

Hm, I just can't get into Nikki and, sure, he could've said no, but iirc, there were times when he DID say no but Nikki kept pressuring him until he caved... which is definitely not okay. But to each his/her own.
