So I joined their Patreon. Looks like no new posts since June, but there was reply then about further updates.

Well, when people sub to devs even when they go awol for months or years it's no wonder they don't put out anything, there's no need to when there's always people with more money than brains giving it away for free, no effort required on the dev's part other than a demo/0.1 that gets abandoned. I've seen devs that haven't even so much as posted a comment anywhere in 3+ years yet still have $400-500/mo in subs. Personally if there's no actual AVN update with the kinks I like/want (I don't care that Patreon doesn't like them) they don't get shit from me (I only sub the month of when an update is out, pause it when there's not) fuck non-canon weekly renders I couldn't give a shit less about, that's not why I'm paying them. But hey, if others want to pay $1-2 per render that they could probably learn to do themselves if they really wanted to and probably end up with nothing else beyond that that's on them. Fools and their money...
A release and one update in 16 months. Might as well assume this one is headed for an abandoned tag. Not surprising, most don't want female protags in their porno stories and even fewer want multiple protags. Better luck next time I guess.

Although you can see the girls more easily in C, I feel like the light itself is more realistic for A. Most people don't have lamps on really bright if they're watching television or similar. Also, the really bright light of C feels like it would cause the girls to squint rather than enjoy the illumination.
Lewd Passion 3D While it's true that A is more realistic, I believe that B is more enjoiable for the player. C is overall too bright and in A the contrast between the total white of the lamp and the dark areas of the bodies IMHO makes it difficult to apreciate details and positions.
I really liked the B lighting.
However, I'd like to offer my two cents by suggesting that you try reducing the shadow cast by the lamp lighting with a frontal illumination, simulating the TV lighting with a "cold color."

I agree in general, but the lamp light is too sharp here. The glare would be hard to ignore while watching TV or similar.
I think your suggestion for the illumination is correct. Using B, tone down the brightness of the lamp so it's not so strong, keep the brightness level you have on the girls, and apply that "cold color" effect as if it were additional light from the TV. That sounds correct to me.
