You don't need unzip the file. For future doubts check the OP, there is often an answer for most of the questions.
Is Julianna supposed to be the mom, or is someone else the mom of mc? Just making sure so I know the patch works.

Yes, Julianna is Mc's mom... just copy the unrated.zip file (don't extract the unrated.zip file, even if winrar, 7zip etc. ask you to do!) to UnityAsset-folder.
I have windows 10 and i have problem during videos: they are not fluids and stop frequently

I have the same problem. I have win10 installed less than 2 months ago. Until 2-3 updates ago tha games worked properly but with last updates i have this video problem. it's a pity cause i love the game but this way i have to give up to play..
What speed is your hard drive? It's really either conflicting software on you PC, messed up drivers or bad hard drive, it's not the game itself causing this
Maybe you had a driver update or having some other software causing this? Have you checked perhaps playing in windowed mode with task manager by the side and look how much your hardware is working?
I tried this game a while back when it was early on. Hadn't played it in a while, but just caught up with it earlier.
...and holy shit. That last scene was intense. Probably one of the best single scenes I've encountered in one of these games. It was very lengthy. Some games have good build ups for scenes, but they're over way too quickly, with so little frames. But this one had a ton going on, with lots of animations. And the ladies being interested not only in the MC, but also each other, I love seeing that. And I was pleasantly surprised it went that far without something happening to cut it short. I've seen interruption teases far too often.
Props to the devs for that scene.

I love this game but there seems to be a problem for me with the new update. it loads my old saves fine and can move about the map and rooms ok until you follow the hint and then it seems to freeze on a picture of one of the women. When I tried to start a new game it got through the initial scenes but then froze with a big red question mark. Does any one know what happened or how I might fix this? Many thanks.

Thank you for your reply and for your game, it is one of the very best and the artwork hasn't been bettered. if someone can point me towards the solutions mentioned, I'd be most grateful. I did read earlier in the thread but couldn't find them!

I hadn't downloaded the latest incest patch and was using the old one. Crisis over!

There are more people having problems with unitys built-in VideoPlayer. Their video player is fragile as hell and does not support all codes and containers (different Devs on different platforms describing those problems as mentioned by Skyrim in Unitys forum - without a solution yet!). On my side.. yeah, I also have problems with the animation - on a fresh installed Windows 10 (32bit/64bit) running in a VM. And everyone using Wine also have problems with the animation, because the Video player doesn't load at all (but this should not be your problem!

Maybe you could share some small samples of Day1/Night 1 animations in different format containers/codecs (webm, mp4, H.264...) and we give you feedback, what works and what doesn't. Better we/you fix the problem now, as long as the game is in an "early stage", as later, when you plan to port to other platforms.

It's not wrong with the code. The video player implementation itself doesn't even require any code, it's just a video player component and a video texture, then i made the custom video player controllers ontop of it.
For example the animated menu doesnt even have the control buttons, its just a videoplayer with a videotexture on it.
its just not working in emulated environments or in virtual environments properly. It seems more of a graphics driver related issue than anything else. Some people who had this problem on native windows solved it by updating their video drivers as well. Not everyone, but some.
As far as I know it works without a hitch in native .app, but that's not the problem with the mac version, there are other blockers and right now mac is on the list to-do but it's like the lowest priority.

It's not an issue with porting, it's an issue with emulating or running on a VM from mac.
I wish the app version "just worked", but it doesn't and adapting it would take time from the regular development, which is not an option. I take another approach where i improve on making one platform work perfectly before i try adapting or fixing things to make it work somewhere else. there is just not enough time or resources to do this.
