there is no update last 6 months, is it really abandoned?
The Abandoned status was probably given due to devs not posting anything for a long time, however, in January they did make an announcment as for what is to come whenever it comes but no one changed the abandoned status on this website so the assumption is that it's not abandoned while at same time unknown as for when update will be released.

At end they wrote
"The Lunar New Year is coming, we will abide by the agreement with you and we will not give up making games. We are also very grateful to many players who have always supported us. Your support is really important to us!"
so if they really keep their word they won't be abandonding it.

Two months without any word of this new "update", not surprised this game is abandoned
Seeing how the devs are still using the "unprecendented times of covid-19" excuse still I wouldn't be surprised if there are some major mismanagement/planning issues + they are probably spending a lot time adding really unecessary features in a H-game like orange picking simulator or that really tedious cooking system.

The devs can promise whatever the fuck they want, but if they don't show any real, playable build, result; The Abandoned tag is deserved.

They have made games before, finished it. And they don't follow the usual milk the Patreon with updates each month that does not add anything of substance, but are actually trying to make a game with gameplay (regardless if you enjoy it or not, they are not just adding a sex viewer like some other 3D games).
The update before this also took months before they put out a new playable build, the expectation that devs need to put out an update once a month or so (build not just a post, talking with your customer base is important and they are not doing the best there tho.) is destroying the market with the trust issues they are creating.
If you post updates once a month it has "too little features added" but if you put out a build once every 6 months, they are too slow and should quit. They are treated as scammers regardless of what they do.
While I agree that they need to communicate more, the need for a "playable build" once every 1-3 months is dumb, most indie/porn devs are 1-5 people. That is not a lot and they oftentimes work 10-50% of their time on the games, so expecting that they are working 40h/week (100%) and push out updates often is ridiculous, making games cost millions unless they are small in scope or have just one person working on them. And if they are one person, it takes years for a game to come out.
This team got the same crap last update when they were teasing the first 18+ update, people were thinking they were lying and nothing would come, then came the update and people complained instead about the "lack of sex scenes" when it had more added than the sex. I get it's a porn game, but some want the sex as a side to whatever they are playing.
This game looks like it will be quite good once its fully out, but calling it abandoned and a scam for not meeting your made-up time expectations is just dumb, let them make the game, if they have gone over a year with even a post on Patreon or steams dev messages then, I could consider it abandoned. Not when it's been like 2-3 months since their last message showing progress to the game.

Several of their workers had just gotten COVID-19 when they posted it. It's not in the past, it's still an issue. Just not as serious depending on if you have gotten your shots. But not all countries work hard to get their people vaccinated.
Also, they said upgrading the game to a newer Unreal would take time.

Only ppl with negative IQ can believe in covid.
It's just a convenient excuse for many developers.

While Covid is mostly over it’s still a problem in some corners of the world just not mentioned a lot since other things are more interesting.
If you don’t believe just look up China it hasn’t been that long since they have massive protests etc. due to their extreme Covid lockdowns.

While true that it was and may have been an excuse for many or some devs it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an automatic excuse for everyone.

Devs are from Taiwan if I remember correctly where they still have over 5k new daily cases of covid etc. so it’s quite possible.

Listen I can say this. Game is not abandoned. I did talk to the devs, they ask me not to spoil any updates. remember before their update I said there would be DLC and there is whent they announcement #09.

there is more to announce when the release date is locked down. big exciting news but I'm not allowed talk about any of it or they will stop giving me news on patreon. I'm hoping this will update will come out next month for April's game annivarsary, if it doesn't I personally think April or June release cause that's how big the update is compared to Nana's story.
So are they posting announcement updates on their Patreon site or only to certain patrons via DM?

How the fuck does that make any sense when the game is for sale on Steam?

Why aren’t they posting any type of regular announcements periodically regarding the game’s development on Steam itself?

Does basic logic escape this company’s mind?

They do post an announcement on steam back in January though?
Its quite common for an indie developers to communicate with players via twitter, discord channel or patreon. Even AAA games dev usually only post news about their game on twitter or their own website. They only added changelog to Steam when there is an actual update.

The only ones only communicating via Patreon are porn game developers. I can understand them communicating via other channels; Discord, Twitter, Facebook as it will re-drum up interest in the game and many of its followers are already following them there, which all happen to be free sites as well. This game’s developer is VERY RARELY communicating ANYWHERE.

Plus, as mentioned already, the game is being sold on Steam so while Patreon may be a crowdfunding source, any progress or forth coming announcement updates should also be being posted to Steam routinely as well as the game is far from complete.

More likely it's a worldwide conspiracy that all the worlds' scientists, governments, doctors and hospitals are in on and that they killed 7 million people to make it look real?
I think I would rather believe the people who are educated in the field and actually know what they're talking about, over some guy in a porn game forum who claims to be smarter than the world's leading scientists...

I think you misunderstood his words. For me, it looks like he's saying that nobody should believe in COVID as an excuse for delays anymore. He's not saying that the ilness is a hoax lol

I agreed. Its 2023 already. Covid is in the pass now. That is not a valid excuse anymore. Also the dev is in Taiwan not China. Where Covid still a problem.

The devs both said that covid is a problem (which it is in some countries but most western countries are mostly fine now) and that they got it. That means it's still an issue there, regardless if you live in Taiwan or the US, if you get sick, you get sick and can't work. Which causes delays, so acting like they getting sick is not a problem is ridiculous.
It might not kill them anymore if they have gotten the vaccine, but they can still get bedridden for a few days to a week or two if it's more serious.
Now COVID-19 is still serious. Although some of us were diagnosed last week, our enthusiasm for making games has not been affected at all, and we still stick to our original intention!
From their latest dev message on steam.
And unless they have some toxic workplace that forces them to work while sick, it should cause delays. But I know this is a foreign concept for US citizens where they go to work sick or they get docked pay or fired. (I partly kid, but seen enough sms DMs on reddit to know it's a thing that is not a lie/joke for some. So for those that have that happen to you, my condolences.)
