It's more of the developer has actually given a general update, not a game update.

So while we wait 6 months for an update, I don't understand the desire for NTR - the game story doesn't make sense to include that cuck stuff, "MC bangs guests" doesn't scream "I want to watch people get railed by other characters", people are more inclined to want to just put a bullet in Marks head

Not abandoned. Devs just take their time. Probably done in 2 - 3 years and thats already optimistic
EDIT: full game in 2 years / first DLC in 3 years. (I think)
Idk much about China but I think the Pandemic is also still getting worse over there instead of better so that might also slow things down

Devs are from Taiwan not China, pretty sure that porn is illegal in China.

Looks like they spent one year doing a 'code rework' or something like that. In other words, nothing tangible for the end user.

It only unlocks hentai basically at the end of the game. Except for the new girl, she will call you sometime...
