I just started the game. The story seems interesting and for now I'm liking it.
However, the game has quite a few LIs, and there are at least three of them that interest me quite a bit. Personally I only play one ending (I don't like to play more than one). I'd like to know what plans the Dev has regarding possible endings.

I don't get it. Why put so many dream scenes? 1 or 2 are fine if you got a slow burn but want to show your audience some titis, it is a porn game after all. But it is too many already, and it is just a waste of time, your own and yore audience. Instead of progressing a story to the point were MC finally get some action, we just watch some porn clips which don't add nothing to the story. If i wanted a quick fap I can always go to pornhub for that.

I played it a 3/4 year ago the last time. I like the story quite a bit, but the reason I waited this long time was the slow burn and the amount of content that is added at each update. And I have to say, I'm disappointed. Slow burn is nice and ok. I don't want to play games where I get to the last base at the second update all the time. But this game is already at Episode 14, if the slow burn continues like this, we will get to Episode 30 without any real content. And I hate the dream scenes, because they start and then you get blueballed by getting waked. It gets annoying, also it adds nothing to the story, like mentioned before.

I am pretty sure that your antivirus program is making a false positive. In my Mod Zip file are only icons and the plain text files (rpy) and the compiled text files (rpyc) included.
But: The game has updated to the latest Ren'Py version, and as already seen on other games this new version is probably not yet known to some antivirus programs - and therefore they notify it as "virus".
I have a soft spot for well-written slow burn stories but.... sad to say this one is going nowhere.
It's just a slice of life storytelling with some unnecessary dream sequences. Nothing is happening, and how things look, nothing is going to happen for the next few years.
Slow burns have turned into a waste of time. I have my RL that is far more interesting than this and I really don't need to play a game consisting of MCs boring RL.

at first i thought the slow burn bit meant they were a pretentious author, but it turns out this was just another patreon scam that goes on forever

Do not worry. Some shitty antiviruses do that.
...but it would be nice for you to update your mod to 0.17.2, because after using the previous version (v1.1) the saves no longer work with the unmodded version of the game
