Yes, the first two digits of the version indicate the percentage of completion of the game (40%). Therefore, it will be collected for a long time. But you can always enjoy what already have.

I just checked it, the event continues.
I didn't go looking for his after Squallmart, and after the cave I had no problem finding it in Parlor. I also tried to leave it in the Park and left with Clare, but after, the event with albert continued.

Haven't played the game (fight me) but what's the need of having previous version of the game?

Don't know if someone answered already, but this is so that you do not have to download the whole game (A couple of GB) , but only the update (about 100 Mb) for updates. The reason why we have/want all is to so that if you miss an update that you can patch your current version with however many versions you are behind the latest version.

Hope it makes sense.
