In the cave where the golden chest is there's a stairs there to the north east of the area.
Go up it and it will take you to a small area where you'll find the chest and a philwood.

The game is great but these latest updates have been a lil bit boring. Always the same girls get scenes and pages, it's kinda predictable which girl is gonna have a scene (at least no Naomi in this one, thank god). And all this running back and forth to the goddamned altar to craft something, just put the crafting on the phone. Again, i love this game and loved LE but come on man.

I suppose that there is still no craft recipe book stored in the phone in this update? Seriously, it starts to be EXTREMELY annoying to remember all the recipes and/or search in the walkthrough and/or forum to remember all items for a given craft... In particular when a must-be-done craft is spread across several updates!

Go up to where the clay pot was that you busted. Then go to the chest and push the rock to the right. Then you can open the chest.
