Is there any trick to the fishing game other than sheer RNG? I haven't exactly spent a ton of time on it, but I've only ever seen like three hammerheads and one great white in all the time I've been playing, and all but one small hammerhead managed to slip away. And that's after taking like ~10 minutes of concerted effort to get them to snag the lure.Wait until you start grinding for "big" Great Whites. I'm trying to hook a 3000lb+ one.

Well at the moment it's all about zoning out to reset the fish and having patience. If you don't see a big speciment of the fish you want to catch zone out and try again. Also using the proper lures, you really only need 2 to 3 of them.

Heavy Green Squid - Tuna & Rockfish & Marlin
Is what I usually use.
You used to be able to savescum but it quickly got nerfed.

Finally, drained the guy of all his cash. Theres probably more to come in later updates, hopefully I have caught fish big enough for that already.
Don't throw your lure too close to the fish you want to catch. If the fish is at the corner of the beach, try throwing the lure at the center, if he is at the center, throw at one of the corners. It seems like the chances of the fish running away increase the closer the bait is to it.

Yes. The fact that this is so can be seen here on the many primitive questions. For some of the questioners, I have the impression that they have to be 10 to 12 years old because of their question. They are then often insulted - they should use the search function - which they cannot do due to their joung age.This site is open to anybody and everybody and, based on the calibre and general content of many of the posts, I suspect that a very large number of individuals accessing this site are not only under eighteen but actually considerably younger than that indeed.
(Young or retarded I would suggest, the latter option hardly better than the former.)

I was not at all expecting an update that wasn't on the 1st or 15th so I hadn't grabbed it yet (I usually download them on the 10th/25th or so to make sure any bugs or what not have been cleared) and I'd rather not download the full ver if I can avoid it.
