So...I messed up and didn't get the red ginseng before crafting a pickaxe. Is there a way to get a grappling hook and a cord again or do I have to go back? Thankfully I've saved before doing that (I will have to redo some stuff but not that big of a deal).

Don't worry. You will get to a point in the game where you will have a new item that replaces the grappling hook.

When you enter the Area Maca Valley, a bug is quickly trying to hide in the direction of the chest on the left side. This is where you have to click to find the chest. If you miss the bug, re-enter the area and look closely on the left.
