Yes = If you're a regular person (consuming) or a regular dev/company (making)
No = If you're a previlaged person, aka rich, (consuming) or a dev/company who pay dues to the CCP (making). They'll "overlook" you.
Yes = They don't even want to allow borderline safe stuff...
Kind of = ...but they allow it depending on if they met their standards and/or makes lots of money. Look how Mihoyo's game are suuuuper censored in the fanservice area yet Yostar's Azur Lane is borderline hentai in it's fanservice. Both CN based companies. You can also just use VPNs but...
Yes = ...They monitor those as well and there are penalties for using VPNs unless you belong to the "No" category.

Just want to point out the factor and as the main reason why chinese don't like this game is related to melena I think it also suits to other players who are also not satisfied about the game, you can see how the commen replied about this since the last update.
And no, from what I know there are many chinese player in this site, just hidden well by using english, even some of the developer are chinese too.
Its not solely a Chinese (or any nationality) player issue, its more to do with how much of an incel a player is 
They dont care about "every vagina" because nobody is saying that "unnamed background character #147 that features solely in the scenes set on the train" should be getting scenes. They care that a girl was "real" to them ie given a name and that they cant pursue her.
If this was a game about a "HOUSE THAT MY GRANDMA OWNS" there would be an argument (expectation really) that literally EVERY. SINGLE. female model in the game will have sex with MC but this is not that game like at all. There is so much emphasis and time spent on "realistically" building the harem to the point that "fixing the mistakes" with your family is literally just part of that
The fact that we are as almost 10 updates in while the harem has yet to officially form and there are already issues between some of the LI (mostly Emily lol) you want to add someone whose only redeeming characteristic is: "has vagane" and who is clearly a popularity/clout vampire? Like she doesnt have the "excuse" that Catherine does because unlike her MC never showed any care about Melina.

Ts was so true in the past. Ancient beings living for 1000+ years but act like a teenager and shitted on by MC. But recent years (maybe 2-3) the most paid and supported novels seem to be able break out with many don't focus on romance and the side characters actually have brains now.

Because they are tired of the cycle, but the main stream is still the previous one.
Another point for less romance and tricky brain storm combat is because these are depent on the writer's knowledge, instead of writing some kindergarden grade romance and shitty intelligence battle they rather describe less about these plot.
Probably people realized that they themselves are the side characters and not the main cast
Def the wrong game for you if you are interested in getting Leo off. Here, there or anywhere...
But nobody outside of China cares. If one culture insists that "X" is bad while the rest of the world says "X" is fine, that one culture is an outlier regardless of the size of their population. If $$ was an issue that might be relevant, but since that market is mostly closed to anything not State-created...why should any dev care whether a plot point will be popular in China or not?

If I search the game in first time and saw what I had said from the commons of an open forum like tieba or south plus and video website like bilibili people are talking this then I won't leave such conclusion.
So either the database is too few or these are people thought about the game, or you want me to find more source from platforms like weibo or wechat? AVN is niche enough and you know adult related topic cannot openly speaking in china, I find what I can find about this game and see what I can see from other's view, if the big data or algorithm lead me to these, what do you think?
