It's the whole punish everyone because one person acted out mindset. Punish might be a strong word, but the point is still there. If one person leaks the content because they wanted to, either because they thought they were being a hero or just to be malicious, then the devs take away potential content. How is that fair to everyone else who in good faith didn't want the game to be leaked or had the potential to leak but chose not to?

I think they mentioned in one of their weekly reports that the renders size was greatly reduced thanks to lossless webp compression. (If I had to take a the guess, the game's fisesize would've probably been around 6gb or so otherwise.) Anything beyond that will just degrade the image/video quality so you should probably just go for it IMHO.

Never fails to amuse me when people come to a piracy site and argue against piracy.
Every single person here is a pirate, we're all plank walking, rum drinking bastards and bitches that have wenches sat on our shoulders and fucking parrots ..... don't look at me like that, I know how some of you think you pervs.
Point is, having a dig at someone for potentially uploading something to a piracy site when not a single person here has any moral high ground is amusing to me.

It's the one advantage F95 has over most piracy site, a lot of people here do go on to support some games.
They still download others for fre but they will support ones they like.

De-incentivizing a leak is not the reason it is scummy, I understand a dev getting mad that his game got leaked earlier when it is only a 5 days delay from public, imagine beign a 20$ patron seeing that and being like "okay, I won't leak the game I want that extra scene" and then some other guy leaks and you lose that.
I would be beyond livid, and mad mostly at the dev for punishing literally ALL their other supporters that have been there for MONTHS for a guy who spent 20$ once just to leak, there must be a better way to de-incentivize that then holding content hostage, also you are right that I'm not a patron but it is mostly because I think 20$ for early access is way too much and I think Snats loses more money by having that huge of a block than other patrons that do 5-10$

Actually on topic, normally I'm all for just waiting for a public release, there's several other games I follow that go a lot longer than 5 days between private and public release, but this "You only get content if you're good boys and girls" is really demeaning. Games don't get leaked because of respect towards the dev, you don't earn respect by treating part of your community like they're children. (You just get people who act like children)
Also to an earlier comment, there's no such thing as:
Unless it was a jokey "thanks for not leaking" scene, there's no way the dev would have a good idea and then just leave it on the cutting room floor to spite people. It's just getting a scene early that would have been in the next release.
