She is a friend with benefits at first. But she soon becomes more than that, as you have to tell her you feel the same than her to be able to continue to fuck her (when you said "you have these feelings as well", on gentle path).
You even have to sacrifice Helena/Helga to continue with her, so it's a relationship.
For the rest, i agree with you, as long as we have the choice to "give" her to Andrew or not, no NTR. That's also a good point of the game, giving the choice to the player to concede a babe we can't continue with to a "friend" (if it was to Vlad i think i would disagree

Well we all love it but I don't think it's possible, that will depend on Novel. In my opinion, it's only natural for a guy at the age of the MC to spread his wings and become a playboy (fuck-boy maybe) then just choose one girl at the end
I felt the same way, i mean the last couple of times i played i didnt really care for her, she was just some fun on the side but after playing her path she grew on me and now she deserves some love as well.

IMO people who complain about NTR in these games are selfish asshats that want everything for themself, even though they are not entitled to it and what they are doing isnt any better.( but i guess it gives them a sense of power)

For most of people, a game is a game, it's not reality, and the aim of a game like this with a male protagonist is to fuck all the girls you can, without sharing them with any rival of your character.
I insist on the rival, because that's why most people don't want to share any girl, even if they're not interested by this girl, as you said. Letting a rival getting a girl you can potentially screw is seen as a defeat (and considered as NTR for many people, which in fact depends of the situation, because you can't call that NTR if the dude is just fucking his girlfriend that you're trying to steal from him, it's called voyeurism).
However, some people forget that there're not necessarily rivals in all the games (in TomL, the rival is Vlad, Andrew is a cool guy who's not clearly saying to you that he'll fuck your girls, it's a friend).
A friend in a game like this won't try to "steal" a girl from you, he'll ask permission or help just like Andrew did. So, you have the choice to help him or not.
For Twists of My Life, we can't build a harem, so even if you're interested in all the girls, you have to sacrifice them. So, giving a girl you broke the heart (that's really heartbreaking from Novel when we reject each girl one by one, the faces they did :'() to a good friend, should be great as you can still see more of her and please everyone :angel: But of course, if we had to give any of them to Vlad (the rival), then it's not the same thing.
Anyway, that NTR word is so misunderstood nowadays... no NTR here btw, if we let Andrew with Ann, it's called sharing, maybe with benefits later hehe

Because most porn games are first and foremost power fantasy, it isn't there to give you a decent story about love and sex, it is there to give you something that satisfy your sexual fantasies.
That is why cheating/NTR that is antagonistic towards the player is viewed with extreme divide, while the protagonist can ruin marriages and at most people will say "he is an asshole, but those renders tho..."

I don't think you can avoid it. I started a new play through to go after Helga and I was terrible to everyone else. I was trying to be as sexless as possible until starting with Helga. Didn't matter Ann still loved me. As a matter of fact because I was such a douche, Helga wouldn't even talk to me about the teacher rumors. So not its just become my Ann path lol.
Edit: Hit reply too fast. I think the only way to drop ann early is sleeping with her friend but I felt so bad about it , I rolled that back.
