I have a fixed version, but seems like I never updated the main post. Unfortunately I started working on another event but never finished it, now I have tons of versions of the mod and lost track of which one is what. Can you try the file below? If it works, I'll update the main post.

I just did a testrun on my old 1.6 version with the newest version of the game and didn't encounter this error. Error name sounds like it's related to the sprite system. Which version of the game are you using?
edit: also, make sure the rpa and the image folder are in the "game" folder, as mentioned in the instructions.

More added events like this would be cool. A fun way to fill out the game while the devs continue to add things too.

heya, link doesn't work. Hope we can get an update, because it's been a while and the mod is quite good
I don't have this file anymore, but if I'm not mistaken the MEGA link in the main thread is still working with current version of Uni. The v0.1.7 link I shared only included a potential bugfix for an error 'pc composite not found', but apparently it was already included in 0.1.6.

It does! Actually ended up testing it last night just before I went to bed and it was one of the first scenes to trigger (just before the the brand new non-con scene integrated into the base game, as it happens)

To be frank, I think that's far outside the scope of what the mod intends to do. This is just one event and maybe a second for now.
Currently, no. I think you would need to unpack the game and repack it in the Ren'Py editor. I was considering looking into this for the final Public version when that's released, maybe with a more reasonable spawn rate though (currently it's set to be highest priority, so it should trigger the first time you walk around).
Does it still work in this new version or am I just being stupid? I think i installed it in the right location merging it with the game folder but the event doesnt show up even after 27 days

That looks like it should work, and I've not seen any code changes that should break it. It should happen on essentially the first time you choose "walk around", although it only fires once, so if you got out of the event or already tried it on the same save then it might have already counted as being done once. I'll try and test after work tomorrow and see if I can work out what the issue is.
