Hmm. I'd actually consider anal to be part of vanilla. Going down the tags, the ones I would definitely exclude are:

bestiality - unless werewolves count
bukkake
dilf - is that some incest thing? if so, no
furry
futa/trans
gay
incest
lactation
loli
multiple penetration
necrophilia
ntr
rape
real porn
scat
shota
sissification
slave
swinging
tentacles
transformation
trap
twins
urination
vore

All other tags are fair game and will likely not appear until they are in the game. In fact, I'll probably not include the tag until a couple days after an update in order to not spoil people.

Please note that this does not mean I'll include all the other tags - just that they are a possibility.

Okay, I was pleased with the things that didn't make this list.
I already really liked this game.
I like that there is no need to shoehorn an incest plot into it.
I love what I see of the characters so far.
CarbonBlue I really didn't think you could have sold me on this game much more than I already was.
Then I read that caveat on the excluded tags and I fell in love with this game.

PS - Thanks for the confirmation that that little flash wasn't just drug fueled visions on the part of the MC.

Certainly would be nice to have 3 or 4 of those in the game and I could see adding a few to the ban list instead, personal preferences and all that.. ^^ But the list is not really a surprise, I have this nagging feeling we already went over this shortly after the initial release but I might be mistaken..

Hope you´re feeling better CarbonBlue.

The most important thing is the comment: "werewolves". Since the first time I played Unleashed I was expecting a supernatural setting, which is something that I would love. Maeve's eyes in particular are hypnotizing.
Just hope I am not reading too much into lines..

(to be fair though, the game also gave me a little of Doki Doki literature club feeling....)

Eh, I'm hoping he's lying to us about the werewolves thing. I've yet to find a paranormal/supernatural VN that isn't  (other than Reluctant Archon). Considering how much I enjoy the story so far I would find werewolves a disappointing addition.

And it's only bestiality if the MC fucks the doggy in doggy form.

I actually surprised you like Reluctant Archon after reading your review on Rebirth. They share some similarities. I mean, true RA is way faster than Rebirth, but that is pretty much the only difference. Well, that and RA MC being already OP as fuck, while Rebirth MC starts as a fledgling.

But, let us not digress. I really hope for a supernatural setting. I read VN with the mindset of getting into characters. I want to live very different stories. I want the life of the supernatural monster, the adventure of a mage fantasy, the glamour of the super rich powerful guy in real life society, the hornyness of a family's teenager, the dark side of a science fiction story, the thrill of surviving another day in a mafia... you get what I mean.

I'd be happy to discuss my reason for liking of RA versus ReB if you want to DM me. Otherwise it would be unfair to CB to clog up his thread with the conversation.

I'd like to see supernatural done well but I am very tired of zombies, vampires, and werewolves in all media these days.

In Unleashed I like the awkwardness of the MC trying to navigate the relationships of the household he was forced to join. I like that the Milf is pursuing him instead of him finding a way to corrupt her into "giving in". I like the banter, friendship, and personalities of Shannon and Angel. I want to see those continue to develop in later chapters. Throwing lycanthropy in would, in my opinion, sideline all of that and become the center of the story (which I'm sure is the point). But yes, I am sure that I am in the minority and that everyone else is excited for the eventual transformation into a werewolf tale.

There are so few good, well-written, stories in adult games. Story is the reason I play games (so far My MC hasn't done anything with anyone) and I was enjoying the non-furry part of this story.

Yes yes, we should not do that. I got several times to euphoric discussing random crap (from the point of view of the thread), writing long, unending, eternal paragraphs, just to have the message eliminated later XD

Well I tend to dislike zombies, which is funny, cause since Legacy of Kain game series I love vampires, which are in some sense super stylish zombies XD But I think you can have both, the lycantrophy and the relationship of the characters (which would point me back to Rebirth actually).

I totally understand and agree with you. Story is always what motivates me. I think I have voiced pretty much the same so many times that somebody may ban me for being annoying about it.

I've had too many posts deleted for being off topic so I tend to avoid it now.

My problem with the big three: Zombies, Vampires, and Werewolves is that writers stick to the traditional interpretations: slow mindless zombies, vampires drink blood and are dormant during the day, werewolves transform uncontrollably during the full moon and are hurt by silver only.

I knew that the story of Unleashed wasn't going to be what it seemed because it was heavily hinted that it wouldn't be. But that doesn't mean I couldn't hope for it to stay mostly the same and not include a supernatural element. Ah well, I will stick with it until the werewolves show up in shaggy form and then exit at that point.

Well the way I see it your problem is precisely with those mythical creatures. Vampires are essentially culturally defined by supernatural beings that avoid the sun and drink blood (specially human). The same is true for werewolves: transforms into wolf life monster under the full moonlight. Obviously, differences arise, like settings were werewolves transform on will or vampires can still survive under the sun but those facts are kind of the defining thing. You can totally write a lore in which vampire and werewolves are totally different, but at that point why even bother to call them that? just call your supernatural entity something else.
Zombies are a bit more flexible, I think, the defining thing being "reanimated dead human". Funny that if it was just a skeleton nobody would call it zombie, so they have to have flesh. So "reanimated corpse with flesh". But in many lores vampires are also considered undead with flesh and are different to their zombies, also existing in those settings. So.. we might need to be more precise.

The whole introductory paragraph of the novel suggest something else is going on. I first thought about werewolves after seeing Maeve's behaviour. But there was not a hint about that until CB message. We can totally be wrong here. So quoting Edmond Dantes, lets hope and wait.

On another topic, damn I love Maeve. While Sharon wins me over by her infinite cuteness and amazingly flesh personality, Maeve' drawn is irresistible. I don't think I could pick or the other.

Eh, I like it when people play with tropes/conventions and tweak them to be different than the traditional/standard. Just no sparkly vampires please...

As for hoping for anything I am not a hope filled person, "hope is pouting in advance" after all. :)

Agreed, let's just hope CB havn't suffered a stroke and deceided to introduce supernatural elements. that would be a shame on a otherwise perfectly decent story..

So, could it be that Angel's family is actually a pack of trailer trash werewolves? I mean, I was hoping to see the mother get her patriotic leggings pealed off. I was just not thinking she might go all she wolf when it happens...

Hahaha I am not sure I understood you correctly. I want the supernatural elements. And the very first line of the description of the game is: "Unleashed is a slice-of-life Visual Novel designed to play around with your expectations. " So getting "deceived" by the Dev is at the core of the novel. Neither I see how that would ruin the story. But all opinions are welcome.

If I am not mistaken it was my message that opened that question. I never meant it "this is definitely proof that". It was more a wishful thinking.. given that dev is actively trying to deceive us, I doubt he would just slip that information in such a silly way.

Oh. I got you. Just trying to make light of the conversation. That, and reaffirm that I hope Angel's mom gets an opportunity for some action.
