Well reading through the comment, besides adding the minigame to the sex scene the main complaints actually seem to be with the new story and characters compared to the old one. Technically the remake seems to be a success, but dev might have lost a lot of people with the new story and drama compared to game before remake.
Now MC does seem to need more positive aspects, even rooting for him at the moment if immerse in him you might not wish him on any of the ladies that you like, let alone as a male gold digger with nothing to offer either to those women.
It feels like he was set to far back and given way too much of a growth path that will be hard to pull off.
Elena is another example, what she does is basically destroying MC's life before it even starts for a basically selfish reason that has nothing to do with Mc as such. That is not the action of a friend of the family or even the MC. It makes no sense to be in a good relation with her after that for MC or Alice, this will be hard to correct even if would be corrected by giving her a better reason for it and speak with MC about it beforehand. But MC is fated to be with her for whatever reason.
Aunt and Mom also does not help, another character to hate instead of to love and Mom has also not been improved, but opposite and dev made same mistake as in first game and make mom disappear from game again at start.
This was one of the major weaknesses of original game together with her incest taboo and her seeking other males playing even if so called nothing happened. If a character is meant to fall for incest, give them a good reason to want to be in an incestuous relation that is stronger as that taboo or you will always get into trouble as a writer to make her getting voluntarily without force, trickery or such in a relation with MC believable.
Setting her aside from early action again will just make it more annoying to have a slow build up again when she finally does come back, since it will feel as repeat of steps you already had with other girls a few months later instead of exciting. Of course the fact the remake just started when we were close to finally getting through to her did not help in disappointment of some people.
Basically if sent her away again at start of game, make sure she has a good reason when she comes back to be with MC and let her path be very different as that of other girls, let her hunt MC for example while MC is less sure he wants to be with his Mom, (just an example of another route, just use your imagination dev
).
The addition of Zach and such also did not help wit the tone of the game, one of the things people liked before the remake was that all the characters were loveable before the remake even if they were maybe not perfect and overall tone of game was fun instead of being annoyed with many characters. Even if there will be no NTR, just adding him and that aunt as is adds a negative tone to the game that is a turnoff instead of a plus. I do not need to beat Zach to feel great about MC or feel he deserves the girls just after that. If he is not worthy without Zach, he is not after beating Zach either. Other drama please.
With the remake I suspect dev sacrificed that loveable factor too much for personality and drama, while also adding outright hateful characters. If anything I would look at that aspect as a dev and see if I could rebalance that, starting with Elena. Even if she should need something for the story to make up to MC to make both grow, something that destroys his life for support of the school is an extremely bad start to believe there is any care or love there or even want to be in a loving relationship with her ever for many people. Now that is not something to do to a main girl unless she is meant to become his corrupted dominated sex slave.
Now if her reason would have been that she thought MC was not ready yet and she had offered for example extra training so he would be ready next year that would have felt very different for example, even if she were to offer her help now after her reason to not support him it would feel at best as guilt instead of a positive reason.
Do not forget in a harem and romance game players need to have some reason to want to be with the girls and the girls with MC, unless it is a harem fully about corruption and domination and our MC does not have the tools for that last.
