I can confirm the update patch works. Someone should add it to the front page though. I coincidentally saw it because I got impatient and decided to download the compressed version, when I already had the full previous one.

Very likely due to "webp". Some other people playing different games reported similar issue. Can't really help in this. Play on PC if you can. No one reported any error for it.
