The one common thread that is actually important is the failure of the developer to be able to patch their own game. This is glaringly obvious with this game, and a similar thing happened with Teacher's Pets, though it wasn't really remarked upon at the time.This. It's not like he lacks the luxury to choose which girl's route he wants to progress. Mom is probably the favorite, but most of them aren't too shabby, so pretty much everything is possible. All in all it has quite a few similarities to Teacher's Pets: First there's a distinct lack of good upgrades (0.1.0 was a complete mess for most people), then some weirds things happen (at least he didn't get hacked twice), then there is bad communication paired with new characters that nobody neither needs nor wants at this point because they're just too much. It's definitely not a high quality game, it never was really, but it was ok. I hope he gets back on track with the game.
When the person creating the game suddenly cannot fix their own shit, it indicates one of two things. First, they may have lost the person coding the game for them. Otherwise, they are just cobbling together pieces of other's code which they do not have the experience to debug when things fuck up. Marvel disappeared into the ether after releasing a piece of shit so buggy it was unplayable. Prior to that, he had released fixes that were never particularly effective or timely. Same thing with Deem. That game was always a buggy piece of shit, but once those bugs got over his head, a super villain hacked his network appliance and he gradually turned into Houdini.
Want to know the next popular game that gets dropped? Just look for a dev that stops patching his releases.
