You can hit them once with the bow to enter the combat while they are far away, then use the sword to kill them, if you start running and the wolf chases you, it has a bigger % chance to hit a crit. The scroll wheel attack does less damage but could hit from a longer distance, while the left mouse attacks do more damage from close distance.

The health on the wolves is too much. I die every time I try to engage, and running backwards while fighting leads to the wolf running away and instantly getting all their health back. Also, even though I have a fairly powerful computer, I have to turn off all graphics and scale down to 800x600 to even see anything. Sigh...
Is this supposed to be Dark Souls for porn? Why don't I get a shield? Where's the dodge? This is so stupid and frustrating! Is there a magic combo? WTF???

What are your PC specs? You should decrease the grass intensity and turn off shadows. I am currently using GTX 1060 6GB and get 100+ FPS on max settings. On the average GPU nowadays (which is close to 1060) you should be getting 60+.
Also getting around 40 FPS on my very old laptop without GPU.
I have dual AMD Radeon HD 5850s. A little old, but should be able to handle these graphics levels.
Freaking wolves man... I headshot on the first hit (sticking out of his ear), then 4 more into his forehead. On the fifth, he turned around and ran off, regaining all his health. You really need to try killing them yourself before releasing this.
EDIT: Finally killed wolves. Cheese... "Here's a sword! Go kill some wolves with it" <Die repeatedly> Kill wolves with arrows... "Thanks for the sword, it's great!".
Also, you should totally turn off wolf respawn and running away. If there are 4 wolves to kill, I want to kill those 4 wolves, and see their dead bodies where I killed them, and not have them disappear in 30 seconds and pop up alive in 40. I ended up killing the same stupid wolf 4 times because I didn't want to risk kiting the next one into the area of the first one, or another one I didn't notice before.

We are going to add health bars to the enemies. We also increased the swords damage and nerfed their health last month, currently you can easily kill 2 wolves without regaining health at all (and you are regaining health when not in combat, so by the time you find the second wolf you should be almost at full). We are also going to add items that can heal you during combat.
You don't. It's magically packed away and sent off to the quest giver the second the animal dies.

The wolves were a bit of a pain, until I got the hang of it, arrow to the head to pull them, one more as they are charging, then a backwards sprint as they lunge, and pull your sword. You have to time it between their lunge then strike and move away. Even still the wolves got me to 1/2 to 3/4 health before they died, but after I died the first time, I didn't die again, until I got jumped by 2 wolves.
The chests were much easier to find, and the addition of the quest marks have simplified the quests greatly. I'm definitely enjoying this version of the game and looking forward to the next patch.

On the topic of wolves:
I just circle around them and spam left mouse button. After one wolf I'm at half or 1/4 of health, which regenerates quickly enough if you are out of combat.
I like the game so far and absolutely want to see more of it. I'm interested in the slave girl you can talk to in the current version. She seems so humble.
The characters all look nice and the possibility to switch between 3rd person and first person during scenes is also a great feature.
Looking forward for the next releases.
Also, will there be a fixed update cycle? Like once a month or every two months? Or will it be more like, "released when it's done"?

Hi and thanks for the feedback. We have been releasing a new build every 30 days, sometimes it takes a week longer, if we are busy doing other things, December is a perfect example of this - lots of holidays, family gathering, can't be working on the game every day.

someone post a save please ... i cant even kill the wolves with the sword... are there any cheats? =.=
I literally died 7 times and counting... the swings are too dam slow and damage is crap. the wolves do more damage than me and they dont even have a sword equipped.

Did you try some of the suggestions about the wolfs? Shoot them with arrows until they're close then swing away?

So I got past the hide and seek and spent the night with the sister, the woman came in and said "Sleep with me or you die from the wolf scratch" I finish that scene and get the option to "Repeat" I assume that is the end of this build? Because once I leave the scene, the sister is sleeping on the bed I can talk to her but it just goes back into her commenting on the wolf scratch again and I can't leave the house or anything.

You may think you have the quest, but you probably don't. I did this as well, thankfully I only killed 1 deer before realizing my quest log was empty.
Go back to the village and talk to Red again, and you should have the quest this time.
The Dev posted a page ago, that this is the end of the current content.
If possible, can you add an invisible option for the protag so we can see the female taking the dick a little better in the scene. Because even in third person, some of the angles/zoom just aren't well enough.
