After Goodbye Eternity failure are you mouthwashing this dev's ballz :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Those are two well known facts about VaM. it can be used in desktop mode and the more var files in the addons packages folder the slower it runs.

The more preloaded morphs you have active the worse it runs too.

You're grumpy for 100 pages now lol

yea in the person bar there's Auto something and you should see a select menu
no, I meant as in every time you spawn an atom/scene, it automatically defaults to that. my models originally just spawned with no target and were just looking forward, but now they all auto target something else, leaving the model cross-eyed or looking to the left when the scene loads in. is there a way to revert them back to default?

It's the only way to find joy in my life you know. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, that's exactly what I do. First, Goodby Eternity isn't a failure at all (this is the wrong thread to discuss this btw.), and I've been using VaM since it first got out, and I always said it's the best adult sandbox for VR you can get. Proof me wrong :p

How do I get rid of this?

I was tweaking the buttons in UI Assist and somehow I left this on. I can't just delete random buttons because I've already made too many.

Please learn how to use the search this forum & the internet for crying out loud.
Qvaro

Browser Assist
Google usually isn't helpful, and searching through dozens upon dozens of pages doesn't help me either, as i keep thinking i might've missed something and have to sift through the same pages multiple times. Thank you for the links, though.

I've heard that this game has a lot of mods. Is there an all-in-one pack or mod list?
There're currently 41,105 mods listed on the (Free & Paid), and that's an incomplete list as some mods might not even be listed there. So no, there no "all-in-one" pack, and no, there's no such thing as a complete mod list.

hey guys, i have seen a few videos by VLDStudios that there is a leash with real physics. like the collar goes around a person neck and the leash is parented (i guess) to the other persons hand. the leash itself dangles and moves dangles. Just wondering if anyone knows what asset this is, or if it's possible to make my own? the leashes i have found so far are rigid (they look like a large soap bubble stick).

How can I use VAM in Metaquest 3? Do I need anything else for it to work properly? Is there a video tutorial or an easy tutorial?

Free: SteamVR or Oculus Link.

Paid: Virtual Desktop.

I use and recommend Virtual Desktop, personally. The free options have gotten better, but for wireless PCVR I still find VD to be the best in terms of image quality and latency.

Once you've got your headset connected to the computer through any of the above, just launch the game in the default VR mode.

If you do go the Virtual Desktop route, I recommend creating a custom launch .bat file to use VD's own OpenXR implementation instead of SteamVR, as the controller support is better. Specifically the big one to me is that allows the "click thumbstick" option to toggle between the left and right stick on one hand to actually work properly, which is makes one-handed navigation actually usable.

Here's the template if you want to make your own:

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Virtual Desktop Streamer\VirtualDesktop.Streamer.exe" "[YOUR VaM install directory]\VaM.exe"
Just open up Notepad or Notepad++, paste that in, modify so the paths match your own, and save as "VaM_VD_Launcher.bat" or whatever you want to call it with a .bat extension. Run that while in Virtual Desktop and the game will launch to your headset.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can this be done with VAM? For example, can the girl appear in your room? Not a virtual room, I mean your real room. It would be like a past true.(la mujer virtual esta en tu habitacion que es reconocida por la camara)
P.S.: Is there a pack of pretty girls in VR? Something that's just plug and play.

Hello, how bad is this would run on quest 3s with these specs :
5700x3d
6750xt
32 gb ddr4

From macgrubber benchmark in desktop mode, i got the 1% lows at 55 fps @ 1920x1080, render scale 0.75
Though, simple scene with 2 actors, and some objects, i only get around ~45 fps.
Anyone here with similar set up but using 9070xt instead ?

still struggling with FrauGruber benchmark ?? as you know the main weak element playing with vam it is single core cpu performance. Moving from my desktop pc with rtx3080 to a new one with rtx4080s the most sensible/verified vam-performance upgrade was the processor ... from my "old" i7 12700 to a 13700k ... on my new intel I applied a moderate undervolt to keep it always on relatively low operative max-temperature, while setting it to a strong 5600MHz overclock . I have very good framerate with 2 persons animations when using quest3/VirtualDesktop ...and (I forgot to mention) another undervolt setting on the 4080 gpu.

Sorry for my boring banal long talk! What I sincerely would suggest to you is: much more wise to abandon the idea of buying a (ugly quality) quest 3s! A lot better to invest some precious money in a excellent quest 3 (not the s!!). Quest 3 is actually the best VR investment (if you would like superlative graphic quality). Then, if you want, you can target your worst enemy/friend amd fan, and sell him your whole pc (till it has some value) if you can afford buying better hardware (starting with cpu, of course). Otherwise I would not waste money in other options... repeat: most wise priority is quest 3 (and a very good router for VirtualDesktop needs). I could play vam VR (always without issues) even with i7 7700, rtx3070, 32GB ram and a very efficient reverb g2. Speaking of VR, quest 3 is another planet, besides pc hardware questions: those pancake lenses and Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 give an incredibly good fun when you see the same clear details as in that pixels "reality" you get with your desktop display. Worth each penny + difference we can save with that failed compromise quest 3s.

Hi guys. I'm a newbie at this. Just finished downloading. What are some must have mods or tweaks I need to get the most out of vam? i.e. stuff like UI changes, graphics, QOL, etc. Or does it work perfectly out of the box? I have experience in "similar" games with koikatsu for anime style stuff, but I wanted to try the realistic-ness of vam. Any tips would be nice. Also I have a ryzen 5600, 32GB of ram and a 3090 so ill be fine specs-wise

I would try and get familiar with it as is for now. There are YouTube videos for basic stuff.

I'd give the exact same advice as fbass just did: make yourself familiar with VaM first, before trying to donwload mods which changes how VaM works. Check YouTube, there are a lot of tutorials on how to do stuff with/in VaM. Then check out the Hub from within VaM and maybe download a scene or look that seems interesting to you, and start playing with it. That way you might also get your first couple of additional mods as well (i.e. Timeline, Life, ...). See, if you can figure out how they work in that single scene or with a look. And then continue...

VaM has a very steep learning curve, so start simple, and build up your knowledge on how stuff works in VaM. After some time, you might find some quirks you don't like, and that's when you can start looking for mods that change that (i.e. UI improvements, mods for keyboard shortcuts, different Browser etc.). Then again: don't rush it. KISS -- Keep it simple, stupid! ;)
