Hey there,
As I read the comments and I see there are some different points of view related to some aspects of the game I decided to write a few words about my vision, as
AlexTorch suggested, which I thank him for that (or her).
Related to the 'multiple protagonists'. One of the reasons that I implement these scenes, was for the immersion. Imagine that I want to present a sad story that holds the origins of a major character. I could easily present it in a dialogue of half of page or I could lead the reader/player to that place. What does it change? Well, first of all, the magnitude of that moment. Presenting it through a dialogue, or a note in a book would cut drastically from the immersion and the impact of that memory, or scene. Presenting it as I did until now, would take you on a different path where you could actually see things differently.
And related to protagonists:

"The protagonist is the character whose fate matters most to the story."
Related to MC and his life. His story, as I may have hinted before, isn't a really happy one. He grew up in the shadow of his father, a prominent general in the imperial army. There is a thing in the plot that will justify his father's way of doing things, plus he was under constant pressure to rise to his title and obligations. Some would compare our MC with a loser. I would say it's far from the truth. I say that he was (and is) a rebel that would defy inherited obligations, openly defying his father even if at some point as shown in the memories, we saw that there were consequences for this defiance. But he still was the man that would stand for his way of life. Not to be confused with being spoiled, mainly due to the reasons mentioned above.
So, what about the lack of experience? Well, wouldn't be good if we could inherit all the skills, if we wouldn't make mistakes or if we somehow were better than others, with no justification at all? If an attempting kidnapping would have taken place, but we somehow, we would anticipate that and be one step ahead. Or if we could have foreseen the plan that an age-worn elder prepared for us, to take the control of the castle and realm. It would have been great.
Now, the realm of Colonia stands alone isolated by the other powers, and on the brink of a war with its neighbor. What if our MC was a character that played by the rules, what would a 'kneeling' prince have done? Hmmm...
Luckily for us, we have a rebel, or as I may portray him, a wild dark horse that can't be tainted (or maybe it can, by lust or love).
Related to the adult part, believe me when I say that this game will not try to compensate with the story for the lack of the adult part. No. There will be plenty of scenes, a part in the story, and another part will be accessible from the sandbox. Also, I am going now for the full animations, and I am trying to increase the overall quality of the game.
In the end, I would like to say that I aim high. I want to deliver a quality adult game that wouldn't offend, through its simplicity, anyone that played the game. Adult games should be more than landlords and 20 years old 'men' that look like 14 years old boys.
