After playing this for the first time I quite like the core story and characters. Morrigan is most likely my favourite but Morgana and Liliana are also fantastic. I'm hoping the content focus will be put on these three in the future. Fewer characters with more content and characters development is generally more appealing to me.
What a few others already mentioned was the sudden free-roaming/sandbox aspect you introduced and personally I really think it's unneeded, possibly detrimental to the game. It disrupts the pacing of the story and the need for navigation makes finding content in similiar games almost a chore.
From the Patreon feed I could see that a vote was held before introduction of the feature, but maybe it would be possible to make at least parts of the free roam optional? My suggestion here would be to give a choice on free-roam or Visual Novel format, if necessary without a transition even for the VN path. The renders would stay the same so it shouldn't be an unreasonable amount of work to link the events up that way as well. In this case it would be rather simple to please both sides of people, those that hate free-roam and those that are alright with it.
On another topic, I'd suggest overhauling the Patreon tiers and perks. The way they are set up right now seem really not beneficial for the game's growth. Too few perks on the lower tiers and not enough difference between the higher ones are the two main problems I can see.
The game is decently far along already, so to see it somewhat struggling to grow is sad. I'm hoping it can overcome this and be finished successfully in the future.
