If you change text speed to lowest and waiting every single word to appear you'll get 5-10 hours top kek quality content update
i believe thats how this dev measures its content
I don't care I just don't want Dev to abandon the game whatever it takes even if it takes eternity. I am just glad that he's active and cares about the game. Characters like Takamura are worth it. And thanks Pitrik you are basically a light of hope for this forum.

To be fair, the late stage capitalism we are dealing with right now is pretty far removed from the theoretical ideal. Its like the most powerful diesel engine in the world, you can run it hotter and hotter, you can keep cranking out more RPM, but at some point the thing will start to blow. Thats where some kind of limiter or regulation would come in handy, shame that noone figured out how to do that without killing the engine entirely. Almost like Macroeconomics were a little complicated.
As to the "take away his cash and he will start working", could work, could result in abandoning the project. If WA is a side venture for him, as in he has shit to do and is not financially dependant on it, he might decide it's just not worth it. To some extent, patreon money really is what makes developers grin and bear the screeching on forums and discord.

-3D and animation rendering : 95% (28 scenes DONE!)
-Dialogue : 90% (2 scenes left and mostly lewd.)

Those are two different things. There is many problems with late stage capitalism, but in patreon case even normal model doesn't work because of misinformation and cult-like behaviour.
The more lazy Irphaeus is, the more money he makes. And it doesn't involve any complication with global supply chain and stuff like that but simply abuse of the platform created to support actual artists, not people who make their money by making two clicks in pirated japanese game and write mediocare porn dialogue.

He does not make more money the less work he puts in. Thats a fallacy. If anything, he loses out on potential customers that are put off by the erratic update schedule. WA has hit critical mass exposure wise. That is where the growth comes from. More and more people discover it and some pay him. What his "working less" does is make his cut smaller.
You can make the case for dragging out the project or getting more money per hour of work, but he does have a successor project in the pipeline. Keeping people on board for that is more important, because the transition period between projects is when you are most vulnerble.

Yes, I'm talking about this. From what we can see from the last update, his work output was around few hours a week. It doesn't look like he is seriously thinking about expanding or even making another game.
The initial estimates he made about WA iirc should put the game in the finishing period around April this year. And game isn't even half made yet. It will probably last two or three year to finish it. But it seems less and less plausible.

Well, at least it's a little closer now unless he decides to add more to the update again  Glad to hear we are getting a Shirohime scene she is in need of some much-needed content.
