this fucking bullshit, no, it really sucks, and it's all the dev's fault, and you wanna know WHY, * * * NONE OF THEM * * * are honest about their shit (until it's too late?) because if people know

A) your girlfriend/wife just left you because of "insert reason" and you don't feel like working on your project, they are gonna unsub for a while
B) your hard-drive and backups (dog ate my homework much?) crashed and you have to restart a bunch of shit, they are gonna unsub for a while
C) your passion ran out and you just aren't "into it" anymore, they are gonna unsub for a while
B) payment options via Patreon/Paypal/W.E. aren't being favorable and you need to figure out your financial situation first, people gonna unsub for a while

point being, it MEANS MORE to them as a creator to con-man/woman or deceive/lie to their support base and get THE MONEY rather than be honest and justifyably not make as much income due to their own issues - - DrPink had some personal issues and had delays, that's fine but he fucking lied about it, Icst always loses interest in his projects, but he pretends he's into it and milk milk milks, some devs like Irph just don't say anything at all, that's the worst, then you got WVM and deaths in the family apparently affecting in-game content, bc incest is only a cool thing if the family member you want to fuck hasn't died outside of your fantasy (get a grip honestly), i'm just saying

If i remember correctly braindrop lost her aunt and took a break for a while.He create Azel based on his favourite aunt.So,i can understand why he is getting emotional when he continue the game again.But,hey he still a good dev though.He pretty consistent and always upload the update each weeks.And the update will out like usual in 23 april.There are many dev out there that dont really care about money,instead they focus more on their game,like Ryen Saotome,Braindrop,Belle,Arcgame and the other that have their passion to finish the game.I mean my favourite dev rn is them.There is also sisterly lust dev,but he already completed the game with satisfying ending.

No, patrion does not withhold taxes. Another little Tax factoid is that in most cases Patrion donation are classed as Gifts not income and the receiver of these small individual gifts owes no tax at all. Any Gift tax is paid by the gift giver. Also Patrion fees are just not that large a cost. See for yourself -

I never said Patreon witholds taxes, I said that Irphaeus needs to pay taxes on his income he earns through Patreon and that is a fact and will deduct a sizable amount of the money he gets. Irphaeus doesn't receive individual donations to his bank account, he gets one large deposit a month and that will be taxed, no government will not tax you for updwards of 3k € or $ a month that would be insane.

As for Patreon taking its cut, someone else already posted that it is around 20% and gets deducted straight from the individual patrons donation before it even reaches Irphaeus, what you linked are the fees for paying out that money to your bank account, an entirely different thing.

Patreon takes about 20% of the amount you paid and this money is not listed on the developer's page.
For example: you become the new patron for $ 5, on the developer's page only $ 4 is added to the amount.

Thanks for clarifying! That is what I meant, I just wasn't sure whether they take a percentage of the overall sum or each individual donation. This further confirms what I said, that simply multiplying the amount of patrons times tiers is not a reliable way to tell the actual income of a patreon member.

Well , the last bullshit ETA was for the 19th its now the 21st, I suspect that nothing will happen for the rest of the month so the dev gets an extra payout at the end of the month. Then the cycle of excuses continue.

To be honest, peeps need to pull their money from devs that aren't performing, it's not about milking it's about dumbasses that pledge and let it ride. If Patreon was a fair company all creator accounts would be set to payout per release rather than monthly making them have to do something for their money rather that crapping out a wallpaper every month or two so that you know that they are still alive... So many artists go on about mental illness and personal loss, yet I have experienced all those things too, but I still have to go to work to earn a paycheque in order to pledge them... I'm over bashing devs, it's not their problem, it's our's cause literally, money talks, bullshit walks!

for a lot people that $1 or $2 is chump change and they didn't follow or check the game daily. so for them it's fair. not defending lazy devs, but that's what they're banking on.

Honestly of all 3D renpy game that I'ven seen in term of graphic quality on f95, this game is at the very top, the girls is very attractive ( a.k.a suite my tas ... ehrm ... my dick ). It's just the direction of the game indeed very concerning especially on the issue of updates and patreon. But, I my self isn't a patreon so I could only waiting patiently for the updates without trying to throw complaint coz it's not my place as free player to blame devs but I do believe that patreoner need what they deserves for what they have done for devs.
