It was among the first longer HS games with decent writing. It barely had competition.

You'd think the backers... would have gotten around and saw how many other higher quality games have been produced since then and y'know.. moved their assets over to invest in higher quality games? Idk. That's my two sense anyways

Especially after there not being an update in a year, and the length of the update's supposed to only be two in game days worth of content.
I think from what I've seen him/others say, he's basically scrapping this for another game so he's just gonna rushjob the end so he can move on. At least that's what it looked like in the last interview that was given, the one I spoiler'd

Yes I will directly move to Waifu Hunter, but I will keep some "maintenace" on WA and do some event

Seems like the developer don't have the passion to continue it anymore, unlike other developers who's been updating their game and giving updates. Clearly this guy doesn't care anymore, he could have got more patreon members if he was just consistent on his game.

If he was honest since the start, i think no one would've trash talk him but the greed was too much i guess.

I don't how it works with copyright when i come to indie porn games, but if he abbandonned it we could continue the story and developpement of the game and with community poll for each decision to be made

I don't think he'd be able to do anything about it since he's using Honey Select to make renders for his game which is against the terms of service. That being said, there would probably still be a lot of people who would be against some random person from continuing the story since they probably wouldn't do a good job at replicating Irphaeus' writing style. Also using community polls to decide where a story goes is a bad idea

This is a great game with great writing and etc etc but honestly if i was one of his patreons i would start looking somewhere else to put my money on, so much time between updates so many delays and excuses is not acceptable imo!

No need to worry about copyright, these are HS models and backgrounds. You can get those for free its not like he made them kinda like Daz style games where everything is the same 20 character/background models its free stuff he don't own that.

I understood what you meant but I still think allowing the community to dictate what happens in the story is a bad idea. You'll end up with a story that the majority think they want instead of the story the dev wanted to tell. There's a reason more devs don't let people decide story moments through polls and it's because you'll likely end up with a basic story

I agree but it was more to continue the story instead of getting a milking dev who can't keep promise. It would be a shame to let this game die. That's why or maybe someone with enough knowlegde on renpy and honey select can continue on his own but saying that it's a remake/fan-made

the waiting time each update is just keep increasing from 6 months to 9 and now at june 10 it will be a year so we dont know what will happen in the future update
