You are not the first to write about difficulty in combat. I also agree with that. Perhaps the developer needed to make the fights easier. At least at the stage of game development.
I don't think the problem is the difficulty as such. Partly, it's the the game has a very different idea of what constitutes a trivial fight to my own. I read "trivial" and then get knocked back to three soldiers by the forest witches or similar.

The second thing is that once you do get knocked back like that, it takes forever to build up your forces again. It's not the number of weeks you need to wait so much as the slow fade in and fade out between days. It would be nice to have a "wait 1 week" button. And/or one that reads "wait four weeks". That and getting better estimates of battle difficulty would make a world of difference.

I am at day 164... defeated a few ...

- Porn I found till now is 2-3 images of whores hired at brothels. More porn please at least after defeating female bandits.
- The most tiresome part is clicking a button 7 times to increase dwelling population. if it can be taken care of...
- Third I would like to see is my saves... not just 1 save for both auto & Manual... I will help in long term game.

I don't get a crash, but the orc fighters just keep replaying the getting attacked animation and nothing else happens. I can open the menu with "esc" and right-click to see unit info, but otherwise it's stuck. It doesn't happen every battle, but pretty unplayable still.

enemy armies of all ranged units like witches are OP, they decimate half my stacks before i even reach melee range
they need to be balanced so shooting across the whole field does way less damage
and the spawn rates are slow in late game, when i get 3 shamans per week while i easily lose more than 3 per battle, it just becomes a waiting game for more recruits

I found keeping a big stack of slingers worked quite well. The witches targeted the slingers by preference. That gave the melee units time to close and the shaman stack time to do some damage.

That said, those jungle witches are tough.

As some others have said, battles are unplayable. Combat always freezes permanently with looping of animations during the very first battle to be attempted.

What settings are you all using where you're able to actually play the game without it locking up like this?

A decent gameplay once you catch the trick - for me it was mainly high defence and spellpower with a lot of headhunters and shamans, but generally bought any unit and useful equipment that I could.
Anyway, I've played the former edition, and hoped for way more content in this one. Saw like 7 scenes, mainly from the brothel; Where is the elvish warrior and the princess?
Anyway, it was fun, Thank you.

Nice to see you updated this and fixed the loop bug, gonna play now!
And new scenes? Will you keep updating the game more? And maybe bring back the original story, quite enjoyed that intro scene with the orcs bickering around the campfire, and the shaman/sacrifice scene.

Some things I really wish were in this game from HOMM3:
  • Press W to wait. Press Space to defend.
  • Right click over a creature to see the approximate count on the adventure map. The indication of how likely I am to win is not really useful. I want to figure that out myself. My chances will be different depending on the units, spells, and how the battle map is laid out.
Some bugs I saw:
  • Attacking a wandering creature, going into battle, and AltF4-ing out of the game causes the game to save with your hero standing safely within the creature stack's range. This can be abused to bypass a creature by attacking, exiting, and reloading.
  • During a battle, the cells you can move to are not always properly highlighted. See screenshot. I can move to all cells around the leftmost 1 stack, but it is not highlighted.
  • Mineral mine, "Decide later" option doesn't work.

This is really the first game here that I care more about the gameplay than porn, so I wish you the best of luck :)

I did add some more lewds and story including a somewhat truncated version of the Yunkuthu ritual. I also added some brand new renders as well. Whatever I could get done and still hit the release schedule.

There should hopefully be less bugs to deal with next update after a bunch were squashed in 1.0.6, so more time and focus can go towards adding lewds, story, and more features.

Thanks for the reports, I'll take a look at the bugs you mentioned and the feature of W to wait and Space to defend should be pretty easy for me to add. As for more specific info on enemy unit by right clicking them on the adventure map, I could do it... I seem to remember some sort of 'scouting' skill to get info this specific though, am I right about that?

More unique skills and leveling system for the main hero is one area that I've considered expanding. Some other ideas under consideration are:
  • Fleshing out the magic system.
  • Adding ability to hire and control multiple heroes.
  • Adding enemy AI to adventure map that will try to capture your base and resources and kill your heroes (AOE / HOMM style). - And also enemy bases to capture, etc.
  • A more robust save system with multiple save slots.
  • A more robust brothel management system.
  • More unique hero skills and leveling system.
  • Work on new map with new stories, new factions to play, + new renders.
  • More sex scenes in this game.
I'll put it to a vote and see what Patrons want next. That's generally how future work / updates / and features will be decided, or whether this game or something else gets worked on.

As for bugs, I will always try to fix as many of those as I can, so let me know if you run into any.

There's a spell that let's you get a precise count of monsters and whether they want to join you or not.

More specifically I would like to have something similar to the description that gives a range of how many units there are. The table on the right of the page here:

Wish the recruitment refresh time was lower, spend a lot of time just ending turn repeatedly waiting for a refresh after matchups that turn poorly
