hello, do i download Remaster or go 0.7.1 ? first time here..

New player, do both versions have the same story and remastered just has more touched up art? Or should I play 0.71 first because its more complete even if its not as pretty?

Tried a quick search and noticed the other person who just asked the same think above, but Im still not sure.

The remaster only has the first 2 chapters. Next update (unless something changed is Chapter 8).
How they all fit together I'm not sure. I'm waiting till the next update to see whether it is all merged together or still separate files.

So, if you want the most content play 0.71.
If you want the remastered version play 2.

Or both, of course.

So much content removed in the Remaster that it makes the Original look like a Godsend.

No more choices at key spots in story now like the cemetery when meeting Kevin a Russo (had choice to dodge or hit russo) now, also now seems like the choice when you leave Annabelle and Lily to go with neither at the moment is now removed to.

Even the whole interaction in th bar is gone now and it's just a mainstreamed scene now.


Seems dev is just changing things and adding that whole idea of it looking cleaner and more mainstream now.


Literally a dumpster fire now compared to the Original.


This game doesn't deserve the praise it is getting now at all especially with all the fucking smooth faces now it's abysmal imo.....


In my opinion the dev ruined it fully now and it's just a matter of time before dev says I'm redoing the rest before I continue on chap 8.

Oh that's disappointing. I was hoping that the guts of the story and choices about who to be with (or not) would remain pretty close to the original. (although tbh, I am glad the choice between going with Annabelle & Lily is removed. I like both and didn't enjoy having to choose).

The original story was gritty raw the MC tortured soul. This one lighthearted lil comedy MC doesn't seem tortured more comical.
When the girls meet in the original you felt his indesign even give 3 options. When the girls meet you feel like you are in a romcom and only given 2 choices.

Well haven't played this title since early 2023, and so I first played the new remake v0.2 version...then tried the older v0.7.1 version. And the new V2 updated has improved with better story flow, and over all improvement with how the characters are presented in the story (attitudes).

The odd fish eye camera angles have been redone, the cock eyed look that one of the main love interests with blue eyes was fixed. But what I liked the most, was MC's spoiled cry baby behavior has been drastically reduced (though not sure why MC's earlier bathroom mirror scene was changed, the original looked much better than the updated version).

And the mommy dom behavior with the redhead vampire mom, has also been changed for the better she is more calmer, and less dom towards MC. For me there was a lot of the cringe in the old version, but now MC and a few others are better written with the V2's release. Looking forward to more updated content.

The characters I'm interested in appear much later, so I'm one of those waiting for chapter 8.

The truth is that for me this was the typical game where I come for the porn and end up staying for the story, which means that the visual quality suffers from the start.
Not to mention the gallery, where there is not a single lady with a bush down there.

So, yes! I am just interested in what happens outside of the potentially lewd content .

Hello, dear supporters!

Great news: the remastered version of Welcome to Hell Chapter 02 is now in testing!

After some unexpected setbacks that delayed the release last Friday, I’ve managed to fix around 90% of the issues that came up. I also had some personal matters that contributed to the delay, but the important thing is that the game is now in the hands of our Beta Testers. I’m currently fixing minor bugs they’re finding and making sure everything is polished for the official release.

This was not a good idea to do a remake and completely take what was just fine in the original and just throw a bunch of garbage bullshit scenes that does nothing but delay the story. Also it was made clear that the dumb idea to remake the beginning was for ep.1 & 2 and then back to new content but of course there is talk about remaking the 3rd episode now which will be more bs when we know we win the fight and just want to go onto ep8. I mean what is the whole IGNORANT shit after the airport when the dude on bike is trying to rob him and now some chic and guy is there and no need for any of it. It was quick and straight forward before. This is nothing to do with anything and we don't need nothing but the bike. No need to fuckin bore us with talk and more reasons to be annoyed by me and his inner monologues.
The dumbest decision 2nd to even making a remake is when at hotel with Annabelle and after you start to fuck she says nope you can leave. Fuck you then bitch now you will get nothing from me and what was a good scene and how they hook up in original has only now made her a cunt that is unlikable. I will make sure to fuck Rebecca in front of her if I even decide to come back to this if more bad remakes are done! Who wants to support something that is going back and ruining what made the game seem like it had potential only to clearly milk $ with stupid changes or additions that don't belong or are needed when they are as bad as this update was! Scrap that shit and put it back and get on with the story or you ain't gonna have anyone to support this

I know how it's like to enjoy a Story, characters and anything else ... and to have to wait for eternity to get new content on your loved Story.

I know how disapointing it is to wait and wait... just to get some "useless" remastered chapters.

I get it.

But here and now?
I'm reading this Story for the first time, and by choice started with the remastered Version of it.

And honestly i like it more.
The original is good, dont get me wrong (read until the family head meeting with Kathryn until now)
But sometimes the dialogues feel kind of bumpy, the first Animations (considering the "age" of this game) arent really smooth... and compared to the remastered Version some revelations feel kind of too random and too early.

I get why people are upset with the delayed continuation of the Story...
But they did a good Job remastering it... you cant deny that.

So i feel I'm removed enough to avoid copium , and feels the remade chapters are mostly fine . What i'm not liking , is hearing that chapter 3 is another to remake . Hopefully the buck will stop there . Hopefully, if the creator feels like remaking beyond, he'll immediately say so , and not string people along. Just let them decide if it's worth following , or not .

I think that older fans would love some kind of assurance and clear idea of how things will unfold . Does the wait stop with chapter 3 remade , or do they have to limp around with some morsel of new content + the real focus on chapter 4 , and henceforth 5 etc ?

Unless something has changed, Dev was going on to make new content for Chapter 8 (after he finished Chapter 2 remake). I haven't heard anything different, so we're all just kind of sitting around waiting to see what happens next.

It depends on what you are looking for, fap material or a story that happens to have lewd scenes. In a lot of cases with story focused AVNs the initial chapters can be a bit rough until the dev gets a real handle on what they want to do. This one definitely needed some polishing on the early chapters. I'm looking forward to replaying once the revamp is completely done.
