Well that's too bad then, comically huge tits are really not my thing. They were big before but that's a size I don't find appealing or tasteful anymore. One point for the oversized titty committee, I guess.

Oceanlab makes the best VN's. I mean the characters and everything they do feels natural and something they would say and do no matter which path you choose. However these reworks of older chapters and constant delays are really pushing me away from consistent support.

Reworking the story is one thing and I'm all for it, but reworking the renders takes a long-ass time and frankly it is unneeded in this case, in most cases for that matter. I really hope this survives, unlike so many others who have gone into a "rework" state and have never been finished.

I hear what you're saying and you make some really good points however I would not say that the rework is unnecessary
take,Miru for example before the rework she wasn't even in the same league as the other girls

a lot of people including myself used to ignore her completely and now look at her she's one of the game's most beautiful women in my opinion

I understand what you mean, but he could just apply a better models for upcoming scenes, instead of going back and doing it all over again. He is re-doing so much, it's been almost a year since the last update.

And what happens when better technology is available next year, another full rework?

I am not against a rework, just saying it could be reworked after it is finished. I like his VN's the best, but without consistent updates, I fear he won't get the consistent support he needs or deserves and may one day call it quits. And that would be a great shame.

P.S. A shit-ton of VN's are getting more support than this, that aren't even a tenth as good as this is, both in terms of story and render quality, but they do because of consistent updates.

the both of you making excellent points the rework delaying the game could be a bad thing

however I do believe that this rework is necessary

Miru was really really ugly I mean she look like she fellout of

I always thought the Miru aesthetic was just a parallel of how she is also basically the ugliest personality in the VN. Agree though, not a huge fan of reworks in general, particularly this early in a project (in terms of content). I appreciate when a creator is improving their craft throughout a project. They may not be proud of their older work any more but I think it's best for all involved to just finish projects and make the next ones even more exceptional rather than leaving something in development hell.

Yeah I didn't mean it's just about the models, only mentioned that cuz the argument I was responding to was about Miru being the worst looking character in the VN.

Still it is about render quality, if it was a simple story revamp he could just re-use at least 50% of old renders and render out the rest using already existing models and modified scenes.

Which would be much faster and would still satisfy the people supporting him and bring in a lot of new support.

As I said I'm not against it in this case because I know the Ol will do an amazing job, however I think there are other things he should be focused on as well. Like keeping the project alive.

I mean, it kind of does? There are some moments when you make choices for Miru, so technically, that can be considered female protagonist. Though the main protagonist is male. So I guess, multiple protagonists? Though not sure if the rework is going to change anything about those options, so we'll have to wait and see.

But yeah, it's mainly a male protagonist game.

The main reason was not her looks, but the fact that she starts, barely have any interaction with MC and then disappears. And the interaction that she did have did not show any highlights. She just acted like a sex addicted girl that did not care a shit about MC neither was interesting having around. New Miru, besides being a goddess, is supposed to be shown in a way better light.

This. If I remember correctly, Ocean mentioned that new WIAB will be smaller in comparison but way better focused. The game is going to feel extremely different. He mentioned he did a lot of the original decisions by following polls on patreon and trying to give the supporters what they wanted instead of telling the story he wanted. That is out. We are going to see full Ocean.

I have like 35-40 songs saved that will be used in the future.
But the licenses go from 100€ to 4000€. I will buy them piece by piece but it will take some time till I can afford them all.

And many songs are also reserved for future cinematics, I cannot use them in-game until the cinematic played.

It is music that you would find in Hollywood movies.
I contacted quite a few labels to get an idea of the pricing.


To me, music is pretty much the 2nd most important part of the game and that is the reason SG is lacking it. I have listened to thousands of songs (Copyright free and not) in 2019-2020.

I was left with 35-45 useable songs and PTSD from listening to so much bad music.
And I'd rather pick no music over some "maybe good enough" music.


4000€ is a lot but that's exactly what support is for. Elevating the game further and further to the point where people say "Wait? That's an AVN?"

That's also the reason I am going to switch to Blender. When the time comes and I have my hands on these high-end licenses, I want to be able to produce a cinematic worthy of it.

I couldn't agree more. Given the storylines behind SG and WIAB the soundtrack adds more "feeling" to a specific scene/ scenario. In SG the scene with Bella sitting half naked on the side of her bed wouldn't have stirred as much emotion if Ocean had used 70s banjo porn music in place of the Vesky track used. Just my 2.5c worth.

So to be clear I love his work. Period.
I guess the point I was trying to make is that we're watching snapshots of his creative process while it's happening. No one whether pirate or patron can dictate how that happens. There are any number of scammers around here. Ocean is not among them. I suspect, that while he has plans for both games, even he doesn't truly know how either story will ultimately unfold. We, his audience, will find out over time.

He did confirm that it will only be the sisters that the main character can have a complete relationship with if you play your cards right.

A triangle with the two sisters is fantastic news if true. The only thing I can imagine that would be better is Katie and the mom. Milk truck Mommy and little sister are always my main targets.

Yeah, unfortunately that wont happen. You can persue a solo romantic relationship with the mother in later updates though.
