Finally, I played the reworked version, and it felt discombobulating. I don't know if this reworked chapter is supposed to be a blueprint framework to work with and add stuff later, but many of the events felt disjointed. Going to say if it weren't for me playing the previous versions of the game multiple times, and because of that being able to fill in many blanks and questions presented by the current rework, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy this nearly as much. The game would have just given me too much rigid plot to gloss over and leave me unable to take in the well-written dialogue, which is unsurprisingly just as good as I remember. The models have improved, and most notably, Miru now looks like someone who will actually give you a moment of pause for consideration before you decide to throw her to the hounds. The MC, on the other hand, went from the default faceless Chad model to a somewhat of a cross between a bearded gipsy lady that is about to read your palm and Chris Angel a magician that's about to do some card tricks. Both pleasing and amusing in their own way.
