Not sure how much of the old story will come to this version so can someone remind me about the ntr please? What kind of ntr is it?
If I remember the old version, the MC cheat on Miru with multiple girls, Miru also got assaulted by a gang and one of them made some insinuation about sex (but I'm not sure and I don't have my saves anymore)

I'm not complaining here, I just need a kind soul to remind me of the content.

Ocean learned a lot about writting and trys more of a realistic aproche so I am not really sure if we gonna see the same content?(probably not I assume) If i remember correctly miru could tease a doctor, sleep with old police friend and in prision MC had mult options to act alpha or more submissiv and evil guys (dont know if they where gang members?)could find the phone and stole if from mc and blackmail him and sleep with miru and than give him videos of it was optional if somebody trys to complain know. So I am pretty sure we will see way better ntr scenes that hurt but are also more realistic and fit the cheracters as far as I remember there are some evil guys in the old story that we not heard much of so there could be alot of potential but I think we will see new scenes that make more sense from a story perspective and are better writte. In my opinion ntr if its done right (which is sadly in 99% not the case :( :( even if i love the kink it)in theory it could make a story so much better cheracters would feel more alive enemys feel more threatening you could have a whole rolercoaster of a relationship which no VN achived atleast the ones thatI played. So I really hope that ocean use everything that he learned the last years because I actually believe that he can make it happening his writting and cheracters feel so much alive in the new version and summer is gonethat I have a lot of faith for where it all began.I mean most ntr games i played are about a neibourgh with 20 cm cock steal your wife and you have 100 million sex scenes(and it plays like a porno but dosent increase the story and often makes no sense) that dosent really make the story better the same goes for harem games so I hope that ocean is one of the fist devs that use ntr as a way to make more believable male and female cheracters, better and believeable threatening enemies(if the story has any) and increase the story overall.

I think he’s referring to "summers gone” but I don’t understand how that game is a “cringefest”
I think he's talking about the MCs personality in that game, being edgy and looking like he wants to destroy Konohagakure for what they did to his brother before the makeover.

That being said, how's Chapter 2 coming along? I remember his post saying he wants to speed up things and not get hung up on small details.

Thanks for the answer
That is a better answer than what I was excepting, but you're right, lately, I find myself more interested in games where you can feel the threat than games where the MC is a god who can deal with everything (except of course when it's humor or if MC had a background like City Of Broken Dreamers)
I don't think I like ntr "that hurt" though, I'm more of a Netorase or Netori in extreme cases so I'm not sure how I'll deal with cucking/stealing :HideThePain:
I don't play Summer's Gone but I know its reputation so I have high expectations here.

I simply disable NTR, not into that genre..

Only complaint I have, its feels like I am playing chapter 15 and not 1, seems like I missed whole story

It's always a question of marketing dynamics. If patreon keep funding devs who slow down their output, there is no need to keep the output steady. On the contrantrary, it would be counterproductive to speed it up.
Perhaps in the short run. In the long run, resorting to such a scheme would undermine the acquisition of new patrons. IMHO, of course.

Hello,

Sorry for being one day late, but I had to fix the most annoying bug I have encountered yet.
Back during Chapter 3.5 of Summer's Gone I encountered this bug for the first time. I'm suddenly unable to send a certain character to Zbrush. It then says that Daz is unable to find a working ZBrush install.

I can send any other character to it except for this cursed one. I don't know what causes this bug but in SG's case, it was Nia during the basketball game, and gladly, I had lots of previous scenes with her where she was still fine.
This time though, Katie was cursed and apparently through every single render I did with her besides the original duf that I used in the first render.
But I've made so many changes to her after that, that I had to rebuild her again...
Sorry for that little rant but damn did it infuriate me. You set up an entire environment, the posing, etc., and when you want to apply the last touch by sculpting the clothes... The actor refuses to work.
Anyways, I spent the majority of the last two days building our girl Katie back up and now she's back to being a cutie that I can send to Zbrush.

I will make this one here a Bibi Log as I now can't show what I wanted to show.

Work has been as good as it's never been before. At the end of this month, I'll give some numbers to show how incredibly productive this month has been.
The update is now more than half done and yeah... Now I've gotta do some animations.
A point I wanted to discuss was my approach to lewd scenes. I will go into it with the actual Dev Log using the correct renders and videos to describe/showcase what I'm doing.
Here are some visuals to the animations that I'm going to do next.

I wasn't expecting to hear that chapter 2 is more than half way done in a little over 2 months, but I welcome the surprise. Now, if only SG will get the next update just as quickly...
i think this game's updates are shorter compared to the other one, at least that's how it felt to me with the 1st chapter

Dude needs to focus on one game and finish it. He clearly doesn't have the time or team to work on two at once in a constructive enough of a manner. It'd be nice if he chose to specifically work on this one and get it close to finished before going back to the other. I honestly think it still has the better characters and narrative structure. He's pouring far too much time into remaking things and into two different games that are effectively dragging out his development time for both to a point he isn't accomplishing anything. Focusing on one, this dev stands to become just as successful as a few others and he could build up a bigger team the more money he makes down the road to start working on more than one project at a time.

I agree. I'm interested in this game but far more interested in SG, would love to see that one get focused 100% until finished then flip to to this one and then another one after this one. I think Ocean would likely build up more patrons at a quicker pace if focused on one game as releases would come quicker and word of mouth would travel quickly - I frequently see folks in other threads noting the long time between updates - people in general seem to love the render quality but get frustrated with the slow releases. I know I'd bump up my patronage significantly if focus shifted to the one game and updates came a lot faster.

Ultimately, though, it's his call, not mine. I'm just thankful he is producing good content overall.

When there is next to no content, that is not good content. That's poor time management. When a thing is constantly remade ever before being finished, that is not good content. Just because the rendering is awesome does not make it good.

People are monkeys. That's a fact of life. If something is shiny enough, it'll attract their attention. Until they realize that's all it is. A shiny object without function or purpose. This game was actually going quite well and it was already a remake of his first attempt. He should have focused on completing it. Now, it'll be years before it gets remotely close to where it was and because he's obviously incapable of properly managing his own time on projects. Many of the devs that are like that require a director of sorts that keeps them focused on set, tangible goals to meet. Too many of them believe they can be laissez faire about the development process and they'll be successful. That mindset only ever achieves the exact opposite. We're watching that behavior play out across multiple devs lately and it's honestly starting to get a little bit annoying that i dropped all my support across multiple different sites until i start seeing them being consistent again. 6 month long or year long waits for updates in several cases (this includes some of the better devs too) is getting beyond the realm of believable and some are crossing into being absurd to think they should be paid (monthly) for something that barely lasts 10 minutes in terms of play (worse in some cases).

I can understand your frustration with this game - I never played the original, so if you liked it and it was already a handful of chapters deep and then they all got scrapped, I can see why you'd be irritated. I'd probably feel similarly if SG was all of a sudden scrapped completely and it's a game I like so far.

I recently tried SG because people won't stop sucking its dick in this thread...I'd be SOOOO pissed if I was a huge fan and it got restarted since there's no real sexual content yet.

The original WiaB was good. It was sexy. But I'm loving the new direction of it. Just hoping to see the progress move forward. The last status update was promising. I have a feeling Ocean will switch back to SG after that, though.

This is a general response to all the complaints about what the dev "SHOULD" do:
While I share the various frustrations presented here, we all need to recognize that we're watching/playing a product that is in process. Ocean's goal is the best (by his definition) that he can create. He's freely acknowledged how much he's learned since the original first release of the first chapter of this VN.

No one, whether us pirates or those who are patrons, has any say in how Ocean evolves either this VN or SG. Patrons can pull support if they aren't happy, but that's pretty much it. If your frustration is so great, stop following this VN until it's either completed or abandoned. Otherwise, recognize that we're all just along for the ride, and the driver has no obligation to tell us the route nor how long the ride will be.

No I agree 1000% I was supporting a few projects until I saw that the more money and support the dev's got the less work they would do and frankly its annoying to the point I stopped supporting them and Ill just wait to get them on here for free now. Its pretty sad. Even the dev's I would consider not that great are doing the same thing. I like the updated version of this game but it doesnt matter if im 40 by the time its finished. I build houses for a living and with only 3 people we finish a house in like 2 weeks. So why does it take years for these people to finish games when they are just sitting at their computers working out their fingers. I find it a little hard to believe.
