Welcome to the 6th Dev Log.

First of all, sorry that I didn't do a Dev Log last time it was due.
I just really didn't have anything to say.
I was tackling one of the most annoying bugs I have encountered yet and other than that, I was just rendering animations.
But next time I will make a post, even if it's just a small one saying that everything's okay.
So, the bug I encountered leads back to the Vram usage. The scene in the backyard is a performance killer.
3 Chars + the Environment take up 18GB Vram.
And I had one scene that did go completely haywire and it must've actually damaged the duf file it was in.
Every time I tried to keep working, my GPU refused to render. Loading other scenes that had nothing to do with it: Same issue.
Restarting the PC helped but the second you loaded scene ad522. (Now called SCP-522) my GPU refused to work until I restarted the PC.
Anyways, fixed it by doing all the changes of 522 again. (Lots of little items. You'll see.)
SCP-522 is now in containment.
2. Phone
I've been working on a phone for quite a long time. The project was on ice since 2021, as I had to focus on my mental health and work/life balance.
Which is great now.
With Chapter 4.5 of Summer's Gone, the Phone will release.
WiAB will get the Phone in Chapter 3.
I bought the license to a High-quality phone case and I and my coders will soon be finishing that boy up.

3. I found the holy grail.
Okay... As many of you know, I use Zbrush for sculpting work. When I first discovered Zbrush two years ago, it changed everything.
There was always just one big issue.
You can't sculpt in High Res if you're not a Daz3D PA.
A PA is a person who creates assets, etc. for Daz3D. They gain access to this ability.
You might not understand a word but let me show you something that will help you understand.
This is low res:

You can see how big all those rectangle thingies are. When sculpting, you'll be moving the edges of these rectangles.
There's no way to work precisely.
This is High Res:

I think you get it.
For the past two years, I've been casually trying to find out how to do it...
And my tests and tears brought me pretty close but the last puzzle piece was missing... Until yesterday when a little bear gave me the last ingredient.
I can sculpt high res now.
I can't use the High Res technique in Animations but I can use it in still images.
And this is all I needed.
It will take a few months until I've become good enough for some High quality sculpts, as sculpting in High Res is completely different from that cavemen work I did before.
And I will also not overdo it with the sculpting, as it takes a lot of work. So there might be a few images of each scene that will benefit from it.
Breasts and butts will look amazing in tight clothing.
4. Gina
Speaking about tight clothing...
Gina...
Gina is one of those characters that only got slightly changed. A little bit here... A little more there...
First, let's take a look back.
Old WiAB Chapter 2 Gina:

I remember those days... There was this black something on her forehead (No, not her skin.) and I didn't know what caused it back in the days.
I did put the images into GIMP as I didn't have Photoshop yet, selected the pen, and pixel by pixel I started removing the black spots with a colour that looked like her skin.
It took hours... but it has some sentimental value to me.

The new WiAB has much more dynamic characters. This is mostly due to their backstories.
People change over time... Some get fitter and some might add some weight.
Gina's backstory now goes hand in hand with her new appearance. She always had rather small/Medium boobs and a relatively powerful butt.
Back in the old WiAB, it was planned to have Gina on the camping trip... But my GPU's back then just couldn't take it.
This did really hurt her development as she did go from a Semi-Main girl to a side character. In the new WiAB, Gina will accompany you on the trip.

Personality-wise Gina has a lot from the old Gina but a few adjustments have been made.
Gina is a main love interest.

Imagine what High Res sculpting could do here.
I'm almost finished with one of the most annoying scenes... The one that kills my Vram and the rest should be a rather smooth sailing.
As GPU prices are dropping and the new Threadrippers are about to release... It got me thinking about a Workstation for WiAB.
But more about that when I (WiAB) can actually afford it.
SG Chapter 4 is about to release in the near future and will also be available for certain tier levels here.

Do you really see no difference between high resolution and low resolution images or are you trying to make a point?The new Gina is a good example why I think the Oceanlab is blowing a lot of smoke. Same bone structure like the other dolls. Always the same puffy face.
And I don't see any difference between the "low-res" and "high-res" picture. They look the same to me.
Both the images in the dev log were the LowRes. Your post is actually the first time some of us get to see the high resDo you really see no difference between high resolution and low resolution images or are you trying to make a point?
