deadass though, this, and Summer's Gone fucking rocked me, yo. perfect games.
my first VN i read that got me hooked like that was Projekt: Passion, and i didnt skip a single scene. i laughed, i cried, i grew with the characters. did more for me as a game inspiring me as a person, than most actual fuckin video games bro. XD at a certainpoint i just wanted to play the game, and it happened to have awesome porn in it. lmfao. WIAB, and Summer's Goneexisting within the same universe and crossing paths (with mostly just easter eggs so far) caught my attention and they, too, are so interesting and well written, you cant skip it, hell, updated SG a few months ago, and just out of respect for the game,, restarted it for a refresh of my memory.
So, how long does it take for a full reworked chapter to go up? Or the reworked chapters don't align with the previous ones?

Then, I would ask: How long is the wait between chapters nowdays?
And is there a decent amount of action and plot in the three chapters they are out, or we are still kinda-early in the story?
From what I see (as a low tier patreon), we had Chapter 1 in November 2021, Chapter 2 in November 2022 and Chapter 3 in January 2024.
However, there is something about him getting a new computer, so perhaps next one won't be that long (it will be chapter 3.5). Anyone has any idea whether the new computer would speed things up or if it is just to make better / bigger / more renders?

He is already apparently half way through 3.5 and has started on 4. Once Sg is on Steam (where all time going currently, next couple of weeks) and he has resolved now all the rework issues = updates should be quicker.

All good but I wonder whether there is enough story and action in this, with plot and all, or I should wait for more updates before I start.

This game is the slowest of slow burns. Currently, the story raises more questions than it provides answers, so if that's frustrating for you, it's better to wait. Personally, most of the mystery feels fake to me because it's only the player who's left in the dark, not the MC.

There are a few choices (not many) that you have to make 'blind' - things that the MC knows but the player doesn't, so you don't know the consequences of the choices. But, that is what saves are for. The consequences are pretty immediate to those choices. I consider it more along the lines of cinema, where the motives are revealed through action. Most of the mystery is more to do with the sense that we as the player are an onlooker, and we don't see all the history of the characters. In Ocean's other game SG, the MC has mental issues, so the disconnect is kinda part of the plot. In this one, Ocean makes it more theatrical/cinematic, which is just a style choice. I personally think the few choices that are impacted are relatively inconsequential because you can roll back.?????

The key problem with taking feedback on this website is that the games here are free. You can't veto people who aren't jnterested in the game and vocal minorities unless you have some proof of commitment.

You've jogged some of my thoughts on Daphne. I seem to remember in the OG WiAB, William was supposed to have been taken in by a family as a runaway (could be wrong, it's been a while since I played). I'm wondering if Daphne was part of that family, considering they're supposedly religious which would mean they would feel a duty to care. Couple that with what I suspect was Daphne's sheltered upbringing, meant that William was probably one of the few friends Daphne had at that age. So, mix a sheltered naive girl with a brash, impulsive runaway and, well, you can see the result in her tattoos
Would somewhat explain why she's quite alone if she wasn't allowed to develop her social skills. I also wonder if, during his prison stint, she worked in some capacity to support or look after him or maybe even help with his parole. Either way, I'm looking forward to her returning. I can't see her remaining where she is if William extends any sort of invite. The only girl that causes Miru to act Leia like and starts to loose her cool...

Reading some extremely important informations - and I don't even talk about understanding - at the beginn of the game must be really hard...Why did both games cut the video? It's annoying and looks like a demo..

It's not the transitions fault. It's a Ocean bug:
If you move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner (over the music player) during video playback, the current scene will end immediately.
The player gets the feeling that the video has ended.
The bug is present in the first chapter WiAB, during the sex scenes with Miru and during the intro video scene. I didn't check the rest of the scenes because I'm lazy.
There is also a bug in the game that causes the music to disappear during video with embedded music playback, but that's another story.

Hello,
The Dev Log is a little delayed.
Release weeks... The usual.
For the next few weeks, there's a change of plan. As many of you know, I'm preparing the Summer's Gone Chapter 5 Full release and the Steam/Epic release that comes with it.
As I said in previous Logs on SG. Reworks affect my mental health negatively. It feels like I'm standing still, even though I know I'm not.
I know the SG Rework is worth the effort. (Considering Steam, etc.) But it's still draining my energy like crazy.
I'm at the end of the SG CH5 Full release, and with that, the reworks are done once and for all.
But I need to get it done ASAP.
While I did do some WiAB in the past two weeks, I'm going to focus on SG for around 2-3 weeks, and then after the release of Season 1 SG, I will return to the usual schedule. A slightly improved schedule.
As WiAB is now on the big workstation, I can work on SG and WiAB at the same time. (Thanks to the A6000 Adas').
I think that's better than switching back and forth each day.
Anyway, 2 to 3 weeks is what I need.
There's just so much to take care of. From translating, dealing with Steam, Epic & Gog, rendering, fixing & trying to get more music, and building new environments.
I just need around two to three weeks to focus on the release.
I hope you WiAB bois will understand.
I did finish a few environments though. Two for Chapter 4 and three for Chapter 3.5.

Well the 2-3 weeks focus on SG probably means that won't come out in February neither. Wait til the trolls realize THAT.
